Six (6!) hours into the campaign, we officially hit our fundraising goal. 😅 I couldn't be happier or more relieved, and I am truly humbled by your support.
**So, what does this mean?**
Well, it means this glorious collector's edition will definitely become a reality. As soon as the campaign closes and the pledges are collected, we'll get the ball rolling on production with our printing and manufacturing companies. I'll be getting the pages I need to sign for every edition, we'll be reviewing the initial proofs of the hardcover and merch, and we'll keep you informed every step of the way.
**What's next for the campaign?**
Just because we've hit the fundraising goal doesn't mean the campaign is over! In fact, we have 30 days left still! And that's good, because we want as many backers as possible. More backers = more readers and more money to put back into the edition you've all helped make a reality.
On that note, we'll start rolling out our stretch goals tomorrow. For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter, stretch goals are essentially new fundraising target amounts. Each one is tied to a reward. When a stretch goal is hit, that reward is added to the list of stuff you're already getting. Sometimes, it's an improvement on something that's already been revealed. Other times, it's a new prize entirely. For example, we might add a ribbon bookmark to the hardcover, more characters to the sticker set, an extra print to the art print reward, or even an entirely new digital short story from me.
The goal, as always, is to bring in more backers and new readers and, in doing so, reward all of you with better and better loot.
Because this is ultimately something we've done together. And the better the campaign is for me, the better it should be for you. Any extra money we raise through additional backers or more high-tier pledges is money that I want to funnel back into your rewards. 🥳
