Temperatures are rising out there, comic fans! Both in the weather and in the newest episode of This Is Getting Graphic! And not in the sexy way, we promise you, because we are continuing our slog through the infamous X-Men story "House of M". In order to restore the world back to the way it was, Wolverine and his merry band of idiots have to use their new psychic friend Layla Miller to reawaken the memories of the various superheroes. In the most JARRING WAY POSSIBLE. Once the Avengers are assembled (heh), a plan is put in place, an intricate complex plan of utmost importance to fix the world. And that plan is...punch stuff. Like a lot of stuff. Super hard. In front of everyone. Yaaaaaay. Come and give it a listen, gang! We promise it's just as dumb as it sounds 😛

We're back with the second half of House of M, and at long last, things are happening! Are they good things? Ehhhhh... who's to say? With the help of Layla Miller and Emma Frost, the heroes of the Marvel Universe are pulled from their ideal worlds and pulled back into the trauma of being a superhero...

And so the summer rolls on at This Is Getting Graphic with the continuation of our summer event, the Summer House of M, where we will be covering EVERY. SINGLE. ISSUE. of the X-Men story "House of M". And things are really heating up in this one, folks! Or I would say that if...anything happened in this one. When Wolverine wakes up to find he is in a world that is nothing like his own, he makes the logical choice of leaping out of a helicarrier 30,000 feet in the air (He's Wolverine, it's fine) and proceeding to terrorize the Eastern Seaboard on a hunt for Charles Xavier. The title says it all, everyone. A lot of talking, a lot of explaining. Don't worry, I promise we make it funny 😛

The court of the Summer House of M is back in session as we take a look at the next two issues... and a whole lotta talking. A LOT of talking. Well...here we go, comic fans. We're finally doing it. May we present our brand new event for the summer of 2025 where we will be covering the entirety of the infamous X-Men story "House of M". Yeah, we're just as excited as you are 🙄 After drugging and traumatizing Wanda Maximoff for an untold amount of time, Charles Xavier simply doesn't understand why she is acting so unstable! So he goes to her trusted reliable loyal companions in the X-Men and Avengers, many of whom say they need to...put her down. Yeah. And this is ISSUE 1. How does Wanda respond to this completely out of character betrayal? Well, you'll just have to listen and find out! Our dear friend Alex Hanbury joins us for the entirety of the summer, so strap in, folks. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

This year's summer event begins not with a bang, but a whimper, as we delve into Marvel's 2005 crossover House of M with special guest Alex Hanbury! After drugging and traumatizing Wanda Maximoff for months, Charles Xavier has tried nothing and is all out of ideas. Let's hope the X-Men and Avengers....

Strap in, comic nerds, because we've got a double feature on today's episode of This Is Getting Graphic!!! In honor of the new James Gunn movie, we present to you the very first appearance of Krypto the Super-Dog! In which we ponder how much collateral damage a Kryptonian dog can really cause 😛 Then we hop over to an Aquaman story about Aquaman...saving a nautical-themed newspaper. Yeah, it's about as riveting as it sounds, but it's the Silver Age, so trust us, it gets bonkers 😛 Come and laugh along with us, everybody! This is probably one of our favorite episodes to date!

We are proud to present our coverage of "Superman vs the Amazing Spider-Man"! And if that sounds like a horrifyingly one-sided matchup, you'd be correct 😛 When Lex Luthor and Dr. Octopus join forces to enact a nefarious plot, mild mannered Clark Kent must find a way to work with equally mild mannered Peter Parker in order to stop them. April Fools Day may have come and gone, but on This Is Getting Graphic, we are still clownin' around! Mostly thanks to our dear friend Alex, who has once again hijacked the show (an April Fools tradition at this point) and brought to us an insane Superman comic (an...all year long tradition at this point) to talk about. After a little stint where Clark is possessed by an evil machine and flies around in the dumbest way possible, our favorite Kryptonian then has to assist an unfortunate astronaut crew of four that encounters a blast of cosmic rays and develops...superhuman...abilities...wait...why does this sound like something another comic company did? Hey, comic fans! With so much turmoil and hatred coming out of our government these days, we at This Is Getting Graphic thought it best to cover a comic book based around what America should really be about: kicking prejudice's butt! So for a very special bonus episode, we decided to take a look at the very first appearance of the most truly patriotic hero around: Captain America! Not only do we have a ton of laughs during the reading, but we also have links to several organizations in the episode description that are fighting every day for the rights and freedoms of marginalized communities such as immigrants and the LGBTQIA+ community. We HIGHLY encourage you to donate to these lovely organizations, and once that's done, give the episode a listen! And always remember, this country is for EVERYONE ❤
