The Youth of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Umzimkhulu, hosted a beautiful Heritage Day celebration, bringing together faith, culture and community.🇿🇦

The day began with Holy Mass, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Mbhele, giving thanks to God and placing the day’s celebrations in His hands.✝️

Following Holy Mass, the youth took part in various indigenous games, taking us back to the games many of us enjoyed while growing up. It was a joyful reminder of our roots, traditions and the importance of preserving our heritage for future generations✨.

The celebration was filled with laughter, fellowship and a spirit of togetherness as young and old came together to appreciate the richness of our South African heritage.❤️

May we continue to celebrate our culture, honour our traditions and pass them on to generations to come. 🇿🇦🙏🏾

The Youth and Children of Christ Alpha and Omega, Mashayilanga, came together to celebrate Heritage Day in a beautiful and meaningful way.✨

The celebration gave the young people an opportunity to showcase their different talents while embracing and expressing their rich cultural heritage. Through music, dance, traditional attire and other talents, they proudly celebrated the beauty and diversity of their roots.💛🧡💜🩷💙

It was a joyful day filled with talent, culture, fellowship and togetherness, reminding us of the importance of appreciating our heritage and passing our traditions on to future generations.❤️

The youth and children of St Cecilia Parish, Dumisa, came together to host a beautiful Heritage Event, celebrating the richness of our culture, faith and community.❤️

The celebration began with Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Zaca, with the presence of Br. Lukhozi. Their presence and spiritual guidance added great meaning to the day as the young people and children gathered in fellowship and thanksgiving.✝️

The event was a wonderful opportunity for the parish community to celebrate our heritage while strengthening our faith, unity and sense of belonging as children of God.✨

May we continue to cherish our heritage and pass the beauty of our faith and traditions on to the generations to come. 🙏🏾🇿🇦

During the celebration of Holy Mass, the catechists also took a moment to prayerfully remember and honour all catechists who have gone before us and passed away. Their lives of faith, dedication and service to the Church remain a lasting part of the legacy of catechesis within the Diocese. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.🤍🕊️

A significant moment of the Annual Revival was also the official handover from the outgoing catechists’ leadership structure to the newly elected structure. This transition marked a spirit of continuity, unity and renewed commitment to the mission of serving the Church and nurturing the faith of God’s people.✝️

We give thanks to God for the service and dedication of the outgoing leadership, and we pray for the guidance and wisdom of the newly elected structure as they take up their responsibilities. May the Holy Spirit guide them, strengthen them and grant them the grace to serve with humility, faith and love.❤️

UMZIMKHULU DIOCESE CATECHISTS’ ANNUAL REVIVAL✝️

The Catechists of the Umzimkhulu Diocese gathered in faith and fellowship at St Cecilia Parish, Dumisa, for their Annual Revival — a blessed opportunity for prayer, spiritual renewal, reflection and strengthening of their vocation of service to the Church.🕯️

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Mncwabe, who served as the Main Celebrant. The Diocese was also blessed by the presence of Rev. Fr. Zaca, Rev. Fr. Magcaba, Rev. Fr. Martin, Rev. Fr. Dlamini, Rev. Fr. Ndzimande and Rev. Fr. Miya, who joined the catechists in this special occasion of spiritual renewal.❤️

Also present were Rev. Deacon Lukhozi, Rev. Deacon Mvuna and Rev. Deacon Madonda, together with Br. Lukhozi, whose presence added to the spirit of communion and fraternity.❤️

The Annual Revival reminds us of the important mission entrusted to catechists: to proclaim the Gospel, nurture the faith of God’s people and guide others towards a deeper relationship with Christ and His Church.🙏

May God continue to strengthen and bless all the catechists of the Umzimkhulu Diocese as they faithfully serve His people. May their ministry bear abundant fruit and inspire many to grow in faith, hope and love.✨❤️

Yesterday, the Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows gathered in faith and thanksgiving to celebrate the Feast Day of their beloved patroness, Our Lady of Sorrows, while also rejoicing in a significant milestone in the life and ministry of their parish priest, Rev. Fr. Sizukulwane Mbhele, who celebrates 30 years of priesthood.🎉

It was truly a grace-filled celebration, made even more special by the presence of fellow priests, deacons, a seminarian, and a religious sister, as well as the Mayor of Umzimkhulu and councillors, family, friends, parishioners, and members of the wider community.✝️

We pray that, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, God may continue to strengthen Fr. Mbhele, guide him in his priestly ministry, and grant him many more years of grace, good health, wisdom and faithful service to His Church and His people.✨

May Christ, the Eternal High Priest, continue to bless and sustain him in his vocation.🕯️
