Let's meet in Magaliesburg💃💃✝️
“Take courage; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)
These words of Christ speak powerfully to our time and to the life of Blessed Benedict Daswa, a man who chose faith, truth, and moral courage in the face of fear, pressure, and violence. Benedict Daswa stood firm against injustice and superstition, refusing to compromise his Christian values even when it cost him his life. His witness reminds us that courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision to stand for what is right, trusting that Christ has already overcome the world.
Today, we live in a society wounded by violence—especially gender-based violence and femicide, which rob countless women, men and children of dignity, safety, and life itself. Like Benedict Daswa, we are called to say no to violence, no to silence, and no to systems that dehumanise others. His life challenges us to become people of conscience who protect life, uphold human dignity, and confront injustice with faith and courage.
In this spirit, we invite you to join us on a pilgrimage in honour of Blessed Benedict Daswa—a journey of prayer, remembrance, and commitment. This pilgrimage is not only a walk of faith, but a stand against GBV and femicide, and a call to heal our communities through love, justice, and respect.
As we walk together, we pray for the courage to transform our families, our churches, and our society. May the witness of Blessed Benedict Daswa inspire us to be voices for the voiceless and signs of hope in a broken world.
Come, walk with us. Pray with us. Stand with us.
Let us take courage, for Christ has overcome the world.
