Black Girl, Brown Girl Books Black Girl, Brown Girl Books characters and stories are designed to expand representation of Black and Brown communities in in children's literature.

Crystal and Ingrid grew up in South Central Los Angeles and have been best friends since childhood. Both have master's degrees in social work and have over 30 years of combined experience working with young children in educational and therapeutic settings.
