Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony are joined by Alice Babij (Bobby) as they gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father greets everyone and reflects on the memory of 9/11 and the grief mothers experience during loss of their own children in reflection of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows this week. After Prayer, Alice returns today to share the book, “The 7 Dolors of Mary: Entering the Mystery of Mary’s Sorrows.” Alice goes over the 7 Dolors or Sorrows of Mary and how Our Blessed Mother’s sufferings are linked to Christ and are connected to our own salvation as Catholics. Father opens daily prayer and afterwards talks about the decline of faith in our society and how to navigate this as Catholics. Father then talks about two Saints whose feast days are today Saint Robert Bellarmine and Saint Hildegard who guided the faith during their times which were changes of era. They discuss what these Saints mean for us as Catholics.

Father talks about the sufferings of Mary, Mother of God and its connection to the Passion of her Son as today is the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. Father then talks about Our Lady’s appearance for those in suffering in recent times such as Our Lady of Kibeho in the lead up to the Rwandan genocide. They discuss what Our Lady’s sufferings means for us on this holy day as Catholics.

It’s Monday and Lauretta’s quest, Joyce Duriga from the Archdiocese newspaper the Chicago Catholic returns to talk about the many events of the past few days from 25 years since the fateful day of September 11th to Pope Leo XIV’s Birthday and the celebration today of the Feast of the Triumph of the Holy Cross. Lauretta talks with Duriga about the recent law now in effect legalizing assisted su***de in the State of Illinois and Cardinal Cupich’s fight for the rights of Catholics to not partake in this sad new development in our State. There will be a conference on Learning About Assisted Su***de on October 15th at St. Luke and St. Bernardine parish in River Forest, IL. Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony are joined by Alice Babij (Bobby) to gather to pay respects and reflect 25 years to the day of the 9/11 terror attacks. Father greets everyone reflecting on the memories of that fateful day and his experience with funerals. Father then reflects on Christ’s suffering at His Passion on The Cross and how many heroes suffered and survivors have had to live in agony decades after the attacks. The show is closed reflecting on the state of America and the memory of the attacks 25 years later in 2026.

Father offers daily prayer and afterwards talks about the importance of Our Lady and the parish’s Family of Faith program and how to make our families live in faith and our homes sanctuaries of peace. Father then talks about the birth of Our Lady as today is the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and it’s cosmic and historical significance. They discuss what this event means for us on this holy day as Catholics.

Father greets everyone and after some moments in prayer they briefly chat over quotes from Pope Saint Gregory the Great after his Feast Day yesterday. Father then asks, how do we enter the silence of God? That moments of silence can help us build a deeper relationship with Our Lord when we set time aside for Him. After a break Alice talks about the St Michael’s Lent and how prayer, fasting, and almsgiving helps us in spiritual weakness and confidence in the power of God when we feel like he is not there.
