The BBS or BIG BLACK SWORD

A giant Fatalis blade that was forged for the ancestor of Pokke Chief and Treshi to use. Lore wise, it was used to repel monsters heavily implied to be Ukanlos and Akantor to both the Battle Ground (Ingle Isle in Gen 4) and the Snowy Mountain Summit (Polar Field in Gen 3+). He probably died or left his sword embedded in ice near the village, and the Chief and Treshi both went looking for it.

Aside from that, it's ability to regenerate is because of the fact that it's made from the co**se of a Fatalis. Fatalis never exactly die, as their bodies keep regenerating from any material left of them, and unless they're destroyed, they keep spawning new Fatalis in exponential numbers. The sword isn't given enough time to regrow into a Fatalis body, or find a host to take over.

The Guild had to find hunters because of a Lao-Shan Lung approaching for their town. It was later found out that said Lao-Shan Lung was running away from a Fatalis.

One confirmed thing based on ecology is that Fatalis kill and eat lao shan lung. A moving lao shan lung is basically running away from Fatalis for its life. Lao shan lungs are not aggressive but they are so big they can cause damage just by moving around.
