Stephen Nicholas Lindsay found GUILTY of murder and a host of other things. Sentencing on 3/27/2025. I believe the mandatory on this is life without parole. There should be some press coverage released soon.

After a yearslong pretrial process, the trial of one of the suspects in the murder of tech and cannabis executive Tushar Atre is finally set to begin Monday with opening statements. The four defendants will be tried separately over the coming year.

Ongoing court dates for Stephen Lindsay. I find it interesting that the killer of Laken Riley was convicted yesterday nine months after committing the crime. Maybe the Santa Cruz courts can learn something about expeditiously proceeding in a trial case and sparing the victim and loved ones five years of agony – wow, you think?

Am I losing my mind? It took them nearly 5 years to figure out that they need to try the defendants separately? Somebody must have watched an episode of LA Law or something! Naturally, trying four defendants together would leave the prosecution wide open to appeals, mistrials - you name it. Somebody has been asleep at the wheel here, and it isn’t me. These four knuckleheads are going to cost the taxpayers millions 💰

It appears that the trial readiness conference was held yesterday and we have a motion hearing on the 13th. The delay tactics may well have come to an end!

Might we actually be headed to trial? The latest update has a motion after the trial readiness conference – which is a good sign! I have a good feeling this time in a case that, for the most part, lacks any good feeling for all parties. As always, I will post updates as they occur.
