Today, we commemorate the 129th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. José Rizal, a man whose words awakened a nation and whose sacrifice ignited the flames of Filipino identity and freedom.

More than a hero, Rizal was a visionary who challenged us to think, to question, and to aspire for a nation grounded in truth, justice, and dignity. As we honor his life and legacy, may we take time to reflect on our own role in shaping the Philippines of today — a country still striving for progress, unity, and meaningful change.

May his courage inspire us to stand firm for what is right.
May his passion urge us to keep learning and growing.
And may his love for the country remind us that true patriotism lives through our daily actions, no matter how small.
