Maple Chicken Wings
INGREDIENTS
•2 pounds of fresh or thawed chicken wings and drummettes
•1/2 cup Burton’s pure maple syrup
•1/2 cup buffalo sauce
•1/2 tsp. salt
•1/4 tsp. black pepper
•1/4 cup unsalted butter
•3 Tbsp. arrowroot starch or corn starch
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the thawed chicken wings into a bowl then add the arrowroot starch, salt, and pepper then toss to coat.
2. Add the wings to the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes at 400 degrees F. - tossing every 10 minutes.
3. While the wings are cooking, add the maple syrup, buffalo sauce, and butter to a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted, reduce heat to low - stirring occasionally.
4. Once the wings have cooked for 20 minutes, remove from the air fryer basket using kitchen tongs and coat in the sauce. Place the wings back into the air fryer basket and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
5. Remove from basket and serve immediately. Drizzle with additional maple syrup if desired.
