Atypical Music Publishing and Services (A.M.P.S.) Specializing in linking indie artists with fabulous songs to showcase their individual skill and talent. A.M.P.S. Atypical Music has some great things going!

Atypical Music is comprised of two independent publishing companies: Atypical Music Publishing (ASCAP)/ Awesome Musings Publishing (BMI). Atypical Music works with artists to find or write the perfect songs for various projects. We don't have an extensive catalog of demos- on purpose. wants each artist to have songs that are exactly what the artist needs-so often, songs are written specifically f

or the artist and project in mind. Unique songs for unique artists- published in an atypical way. We also offer artist/writer services such as: consultation, mentoring, referral, song critiques, and social media management. In addition to our regular indie cuts (indies are our focus, afterall) we have some Major label prospects brewing. I know I say something similar every quarter when I get royalty statements but artists PLEASE log your shows with BMI Live. It makes a huge difference in payouts for songwriters. One live performance pays about 100 times (literally) more than streams. The difference between a penny and a dollar. (a fraction of a penny if we want to get real- streaming is the devil as far as payouts). And…thank you to those who continue to support “the journey”- big news a-comin’ 😉

be BJ’s publisher for this song and several others. He had so
much enthusiasm and passion for songwriting- and life in general. Our deepest condolences go out to his family-we were so blessed to have worked with him.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of US songwriter and good friend of the band, Bobby Joe Peace. Bobby wrote a song for our second album, “She’d Never Do to Me,” and played a significant role in connecting us with talented writers with whom we continue to collaborate. We owe him a great debt of gratitude. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and close friends. A true gentleman, may he rest in peace.🙏
