الإمارات والفضاء... طموحات لا سقف لها

من جديد، تثبت الإمارات نفسها وتبرهن أنّ لا حدود لطموحها، لا على الأرض ولا في الفضاء. فها هي تخطو خطوةً جديدةً في طريقها إلى اكتشاف الفضاء، والوجهة هذه المرّة هي القمر. فقد وقّع "مركز محمد بن راشد للفضاء" مذكرة تفاهم مع شركة "إيرباص للدفاع والفضاء"، للتعاون في مشروع الإمارات لاستكشاف القمر.
وكذلك اختار المركز شركة "سبيس إكس" لإطلاق القمر الاصطناعي "محمد بن زايد" MBZ-Sat في عام 2023، وهو الأكثر تقدمًا في المنطقة في مجال صور الأقمار الاصطناعية عالية الدقة.

The UAE and Space… Sky Isn’t even the Limit

The UAE proves itself once again and demonstrates that its ambitions have no limit.
The UAE took today one more step towards exploring space, with the Moon as the destination. In fact, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) signed a memorandum of understanding with “Airbus Defense and Space” to cooperate on the Emirates Lunar Mission.
The center also chose SpaceX to launch the “MBZ-sat” satellite in 2030, which is the most advanced satellite in the region for high-resolution satellite imagery.

From the heart of the desert’s sands, the highest towers and skyscrapers have emerged, making Dubai the city that broke all the records. It has become a model to follow suit and has shown the world that nothing is impossible.

من صحراء قاحلة إلى مركز عالمي... هذا ما طمح حاكم دبي الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم إلى تحقيقه، وهذا ما حصل فعلًا. فمن قلب الرمال الصحراوية، خرجت أعلى البنايات والأبراج التي لامست السحاب وجعلت من دبي المدينة التي حطّمت الأرقام القياسية، لتصبح قصّتها مثالًا يحتذى به في الإرادة والمثابرة، ولتثبت للجميع أنّه ما من شيء مستحيل.

Adnoc Is Set to Be the First Clean Energy Company

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed started a strategic clean energy partnership between Adnoc, Abu Dhabi’s National Oil Company, and Emirates Water and Electricity Company, the biggest firm of its kind in the oil and gas sector.

Under this partnership, Emirates Water and Electricity Company will provide Adnoc with its power requirements through clean solar and nuclear energy sources. Hence, Adnoc will become the first oil and gas company to completely decarbonize its electric grid starting from January 2022.

"أدنوك" أوّل من يعمل على الطاقة النظيفة

أطلق الشيخ خالد بن محمد بن زايد آل نهيان شراكةً استراتيجيةً في الطاقة النظيفة بين شركة بترول أبوظبي الوطنية "أدنوك" وشركة مياه وكهرباء الإمارات، هي الأكبر من نوعها في قطاع النفط والغاز.
ووفقًا لهذه الشراكة، ستقوم شركة مياه وكهرباء الإمارات بإمداد "أدنوك" باحتياجات شبكتها الكهربائية من خلال الكهرباء المُنتَجة من مصادر الطاقة النووية والشمسية النظيفة، لتصبح "أدنوك" بذلك أول شركة نفط وغاز تؤمّن احتياجاتها من الطاقة الكهربائية الخالية من الانبعاثات ابتداءً من يناير 2022.

المرأة القطرية تحتلّ ساحة القوى العاملة العربية

أكّدت الدكتورة شريفة نعمان العمادي، المدير التنفيذي لمعهد الدوحة الدولي للأسرة، أنّ تمكين دور المرأة يبدأ من الأسرة، لذلك فإنّ المعهد يسعى دائمًا لتطوير سياسات تصبّ في مصلحة الأسرة بشكل عام والمرأة بشكل خاص عبر بحوث ودراسات يكرّس كل جهوده من أجلها.
وأشادت بالدور الذي تلعبه قطر لتحقيق ذلك، فإنّ المرأة القطرية تسجّل أعلى معدل مشاركة نسائية في القوى العاملة في الدول العربية، كما سلّطت الضوء على جهود وزيرة الصحة القطرية التي تكلّلت بالنجاح، فقد احتلّت قطر المرتبة الأولى عربيًّا والخامسة عشرة عالميًّا من ناحية التعامل الفعال مع جائحة كوفيد-١٩.

Qatari Women Reign in the Arab Labor Market

Dr. Sharifa Naaman al- Amadi, the executive director of Doha International Family Institute, confirmed that women’s empowerment started from the family. Thus, the Institute seeks to develop policies in favor of the family, in general, and women, in specific. For this effect, it dedicates its efforts to research and studies.
In this regard, she applauded the role of Qatar in helping the Qatari women register the highest rates of women’s participation in the workforce in the Arab labor market. She shed light on the successful efforts of the Qatari Minister of Health, as the country ranks first in the Arab region and 15th in the world for the adoption of the best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Electric Vehicles Will Rock Saudi Streets

Saudi Arabia has been working on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It has set a new objective to reach by 2030, which is to make 30% of cars in Saudi Arabia electric vehicles.
This goal is included in a plan to halve the carbon emissions in the city, whose population is 8 million people, in the next 9 years.
It should be noted that the Saudi Public Investment Fund has been funding companies that manufacture electric vehicles for years, including Lucid Motors, Tesla's main competitor.

السيارات الكهربائية ستنتشر على طرقات الرياض

تواصل المملكة العربية السعودية جهودها لتقليل انبعاثات الاحتباس الحراري، وذلك عبر إعلانها عن هدفها الجديد الذي تسعى إلى تحقيقه بحلول سنة 2030 والذي يقضي بجعل 30٪ من السيارات في الرياض تعمل بالكهرباء.
ويأتي هذا الهدف ضمن خطة لخفض انبعاثات الكربون إلى النصف في المدينة التي يبلغ عدد سكانها 8 ملايين نسمة للسنوات التسعة القادمة.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ صندوق الاستثمارات العامة يستثمر في شركات تصنيع السيارات الكهربائية منذ عدة سنوات، شركة Lucid Motors ، المنافسة لشركة Tesla.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar Locked Arms to Develop Qetaifan Island North

Dar Al Arkan, the Saudi Arabian real estate company, and Qetaifan Projects, the Qatari real estate firm owned by Katara Hospitality, signed an agreement to develop a luxury project on Qetaifan Island North.
It will include residential units with direct, front-line sea views coupled with modern amenities. The project will also offer residents access to specialized retail outlets on the ground floor.
Work on the development will start in Q2 2022 and total sales are expected to exceed QR1bn.

السعودية وقطر يدًا بيد لتطوير جزيرة قطيفان الشمالية

وقّعت "دار الأركان"، شركة عقارية سعودية، اتفاقيةً مع "قطيفان للمشاريع"، شركة عقارية قطرية مملوكة من قبل "كتارا للضيافة"، وذلك لتطوير مشروع فخم في جزيرة قطيفان الشمالية.
وسيضمّ هذا المشروع وحدات سكنية فاخرة تطلّ على البحر مباشرةً، وسيتيح لقاطنيها الوصول إلى منافذ التجزئة المتخصصة في الطابق الأرضي. وسيبدأ العمل على المشروع في الربع الثاني من عام 2022، ومن المتوقع أن يفوق إجمالي مبيعاته مليار ريال قطري.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum launched a comprehensive development plan of Hatta City in Dubai. He appointed an oversight committee to ensure the sound implementation.
The plan includes a beach, lake, funicular, the longest mountain trail, bike lanes, and hotels.

أطلق الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم خطةً تطويريةً شاملةً لمدينة حتى في دبي كما عيّن لجنةً دائمةً تشرف عليها
تشمل الخطة إنشاء شاطئ سياحي، وبحيرة، وأنظمة نقل خاصة بالمنحدرات الجبلية، وأطول ممشى جبلي في الإمارات، ومسارات للدراجات الهوائية، ومنشآت فندقية.

الذكاء الاصطناعي يحجز 6 كتب له في المنهاج البحريني

ستُدرَج ستة كتب دراسية جديدة عن علم الروبوتات والذكاء الاصطناعي والابتكار والاقتصاد الرقمي ضمن الفصل الثاني من العام الدراسي الحالي في البحرين.
ثلاثة كتب منها ستكون للمرحلة الإعدادية وهي: الإلكترونيات الرقمية، والبرمجة الإبداعية، والروبوت والإنسان الآلي.
أمّا الكتب الثلاثة الأخرى فستُطرَح للمرحلة الثانوية وهي: الإلكترونيات الرقمية، وراسبيري باي، والروبوتات. وجميعها أساسية لمتطلبات العصر واحتياجات التنمية المستدامة، فهي ستسهم في اكتساب الطلاب المهارات اللازمة ودفعهم نحو التفكير النشط والسلوك الإبداعي.

Bahraini Curriculum Will Embrace AI

6 new books on robotics, artificial intelligence, innovation, and the digital economy will be included in the second semester of this academic year.
3 books will be added to primary education: digital technology, innovative programming, and robotics.
As for the last 3 books, they'll be in secondary education: digital technology, Raspberry Pi, and robots.
They are all necessary for meeting the requirements of the modern world and the needs of sustainable development. They'll help students acquire the needed skills, such as creative thinking and innovation.

Oman under the Microscope

“Oman under the Microscope” is the name of the new documentary on the rich and diverse fungi life in the region. Through film cameras and infrared night vision cameras, the team that had spent 3 weeks in Dhofar governorate was able to film several animals like wolves, hyenas, scorpions, fish, and birds.
The crew often worked for 24 hours straight and used to cooperate with pertinent parties such as the nature conservation office and even citizens who provided help in reaching some animals. The crew also shed light on the Frankincense extrication and the conventional ways to preserve and protect trees.

"عمان تحت المجهر"

"عمان تحت المجهر" هو عنوان الوثائقي الجديد الذي يوثق الحياة الفطرية الغنية والمتنوعة في المنطقة. فباستخدام كاميرات سينمائية وأخرى تعمل بالأشعة تحت الحمراء المتخصصة للتصوير الليلي والتي تلتقط الأجسام وفق حرارتها، تمكّن الفريق الذي أمضى ثلاثة أسابيع في محافظة ظفار من توثيق حيوانات كثيرة مثل الضباع والذئاب والعقارب والأسماك والطيور.
وكان التصوير يستمرّ أحيانًا لحوالي 24 ساعة متواصلة، وكلّ ذلك بالتنسيق مع جهات معنية مثل مكتب حفظ البيئة، وبالتعاون مع عدد من أبناء المحافظة الذين تمّت الاستعانة بهم للوصول إلى بعض الحيوانات. كذلك سلّط الفريق الضوء على استخراج اللبان والطرق التقليدية للحفاظ على الأشجار وحمايتها من التلف.

الكويت تُطلق قمرها الصناعي الأوّل العام المقبل

عرضت جامعة الكويت مشروع القمر الصناعي الكويتي الأوّل في إكسبو 2020 دبي تأكيدًا على دورها في بناء القدرات الوطنية وتأهيلها في مجال تصميم تكنولوجيا الفضاء تماشيًا مع رؤية الكويت 2035، إضافةً إلى دعمها الكوادر الوطنية، وتدريب الطلبة على تصميم واختيار أقمار صناعية تخدم البشرية في مجالاتها العلمية والكونية.
وسيُطلَق المشروع العام المقبل، ويشكّل إضافةً جديدةً لإنجازات الكويت في تطوير الأبحاث العلمية، ويقدّم صورةً مشرفةً لها كبلدٍ يدعم الثقافة والعلم بلا حدود.
Kuwait is Set to Launch its First Satellite Next Year

Kuwait’s University presented the first Kuwaiti Satellite project at Expo 2020 in order to prove its national capacity-building and competencies in the space sector, which goes in line with the 2035 vision. It also seeks to support its national personnel and train students on designing and choosing satellites that serve sciences and cosmology.
The project which will be launched next year is a new Kuwaiti accomplishment in developing scientific research and reflects the country’s support for culture and sciences.
