🌶️ Spicy Thursday! 🌶️

Regardless of the ruling this week, the process tells me that the therapists don’t know S**T about ethics, or they wouldn’t be pursuing the sly, technical legal argument. AND that it’s representative of the garbage ethics training we get in the field anyway.

The law and ethical processes don’t always overlap. Let’s put pressure on the bodies that enforce our ethics.

Sometimes you gotta show up in the Texas heat after a long work week and on the way to a workout to hear , , and give and inspiring and, more importantly to me, realistic talk.

As a psychologist who’s often taking a critical lens, I pay more attention to actions than what’s said. Accountability and creativity are more important to me. What I’m taking from this town hall is that people are finally TIRED of the same, disconnected talking points, and that people are listening. Further, any momentum is still momentum. Actions don’t have to be newsworthy or perfect; they just have to be SOMETHING that aligns with your values.
