What Drug Is Sildenafil?

Sildenafil is a medication used for treating erectile dysfunction (ED).
In the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction, it helps to achieve an er****on significant enough for sexual in*******se.
When prescribed, it is usually advised to take it about 1 hour before sexual activity and sufficient arousal and stimulation skills are also recommended .
HOW IT WORKS
This may sound a little medical, but it's important to pick a thing or two to learn;
Sildenafil is from the family of medications called PDE5 inhibitors.
This is what happens on a normal day ;
During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide (NO) is released in the corpus cavernosum of the p***s.
Nitric oxide goes ahead to activate an enzyme which increases level of a substance called cGMP.
The presence of this cGMP leads to the relaxation of smooth muscle and increases blood flow to the p***s, resulting in an er****on.
A particular enzyme called PDE5 breaks down the cGMP that enables this needed relaxation and blood flow.
Now, this is where Sildenafil comes in.
It stop PDE5 from doing this and allows the normal process to occur.
Once the effect of Sildenafil wears out, the PDE5 enzyme resumes work again.
