It's Melanoma Monday, and I care about you!

No matter the beautiful shade of your skin, we are all susceptible to melanoma. Know the ABCDE's of skin cancer.....

A is for Asymmetry:
If you draw an imaginary line down the middle of a mole or spot, the two halves should be roughly the same. If they are different, it could be a sign of melanoma.
B is for Border:
Normal moles have smooth, well-defined borders. If a mole has irregular, notched, or blurred edges, it could be a sign of concern.
C is for Color:
Moles should be a uniform color. If a mole has multiple shades or colors (brown, tan, black, white, red, blue), it could be a sign of melanoma.
D is for Diameter:
Moles that are larger than 6 millimeters (about the size of a pencil eraser) should be checked by a doctor, especially if they are new or growing.
E is for Evolving:
If a mole or spot is changing in size, shape, color, or even developing new symptoms like itching or bleeding, it's important to see a doctor.
