I had a great experience for . I decided to go mobile (Class C) and mostly operated from the island that runs along the east short of Lake Overholser in Oklahoma CIty, which enabled me to "qualify" it for the US Islands Award program.
I used a Xiegu G90 running 10-20 watts going into a 20 meter ham stick vertical antenna. I also did all SSB this year (much more doable at 20 watts than 5)
I had 23 QSO's.
All were from the US, from the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisana, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Washington
A few contacts were done from my home driveway or while rolling, but most were done on the island at Lake Overholser..
