September 29, 2024 I decided to send my application for the State Theatre's Vavasati International Festival just hours before the closing time, which was 4pm that. I had been procrastinating finishing writing my proposal, and at that moment, I decided this was a good opportunity to miss out. And I applied. Months passed and I thought I didn't get it, but then May 2025 I received an email that my musical was selected for the festival. I missed that email, my laptop and phone were broken. Then fast forward to August 2025, I receive another email from State Theatre asking me to send a Cast and Crew list. I panicked because, I hadn't done anything, the script wasn't finished and I hadn't completed the songs as well and I didn't have cast one crew. At some point I was ready to decline this offer. But you know Gos works in mysterious ways. One phone call to someone and then everything fell into place. I met the most amazing group of people in my cast and crew members, They made "I Am: The Musical" a successful show it is today. It wasn't easy, but we fought and worked hard, even when it seemed like we've reached a dead end. One thing I know is God's hand and favour was in this production. You could see it was highly ordained and God's presence was evident. As I close 2025 I want to say this: You can do anything you put your mind into, continue to work hard and you'll reap your rewards. And remember to always include God in everything you do .
Cheers to 2025 and here's to another successful year around the sun 🍾🥂
