This episode, in which we discuss issue #36, the second part of the Paste Pot Pete . . . uh . . . we mean, The Trapster saga, will be our final episode for the year 2023. One of our cast is recovering from a shoulder surgery and this has prevented us from recording on the schedule that we're used to. We decided to take a few weeks off for the holidays.

We'll be back in 2024 for the second half of our season!

Except maybe not Kyle. You guys might want us to fire him after the controversial thing he says in this episode.

Happy holidays, friends!

For Issue 35, Gene and Stan pull another obscure villain from the annals of Marvel Comics history for a (mildly) compelling saga. It's Paste Pot Pete . . . uh . . . we mean The Trapster!

It's really too bad that Kyle has such a dirty mind.

Around 3:00 pm last Friday, we realized that we had never posted a new episode. It was the day after Thanksgiving, a busy holiday that allowed us to justify missing a week. Not to mention that the episode we would have been posting takes place in Canada, and that would have been weird since Thanksgiving is a distinctly American holiday!

We're back this week, though, with a discussion of issue #34, the second part of The Beetle story arc. As mentioned, the issue takes place in Canada. The Beetle is up to something dastardly and nefarious. And, ultimately, we're all three oh so proud of Foggy.

The new episode is live! Check it out!

All three of us agree: issue 32 is a solid entry into the "Daredevil" canon. Breathtaking art, break-neck plotting, and the best fight scene we've seen in this comic in a good, long while.

There's not much more irritating than following up a good issue with a stinky clunker. We should be used to this by now, but issue 30 was such a drastic improvement over the previous few issues that issue 31 being only so-so is a slap in our collective faces. Issue 31 isn't terrible, persay. It's uneventful.

Aaron's been telling his co-hosts for weeks that things start getting better around issue 30. Well, here we are at issue 30, which features a guest appearance by The Mighty Thor, two of his villains, and a ludicrous plot element that we liked better when J. J. Abrams included it in "Mission: Impossible 3". Are things actually improving around here?

It should be clear by now that the content and quality of "Daredevil" in the early days wasn't up to the standards of other Marvel comics being published at the time. Unfortunately, Stan Lee and Gene Colan sink to new levels of mediocrity with issue 28.

Why the hell is Daredevil fighting aliens?
