Kali Flanagan has taken her game to new heights with the Toronto Sceptres. She credits the coaches with helping her growth.

"Something that's unique about Troy (Ryan) and our coaching staff is they really push you in a way that makes you feel safe. They make it an environment to push yourself. And for me to step outside my comfort zone and push myself and having that space to grow has been huge for me.
"And so I think over the last couple seasons in Toronto, the first year was kind of a good base for me, and then I think I was able to take my game to another level this past season."

Locked in! The Toronto Sceptres have signed their second-round draft pick Emma Gentry to a two-year contract. GM Gina Kingsbury: "We're excited to welcome Emma Gentry to our team on a two-year deal.
