A Church leader by the name of Prophet Adefolusho was arrested at his church located in Okun Ajah, Ogombo Road, Lekki area of Lagos State, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, after months of fleeing abroad to evade arrest. On that fateful Sunday, NDLEA operatives waited for him to conclude the Sunday worship service in the evening before moving in on him the moment he stepped out of the church premises….
In a separate but similar case the Gombe State High Court on August 5, convicted and sentenced Maigari Abba, Joseph Samuel Bulus, Kasheaure Joseph, Emmanuel Dilibe, Livite Ibrahim, and Awolowo Martins to various jail terms for fraud.

Ipswich Town have secured Nigerian striker Chuba Akpom on loan from Ajax until June 2026, with an option to make the move permanent.

The signing comes after Ipswich swooped in to hijack a deal that was set to take Akpom to Birmingham City.

The 28-year-old will aim to rediscover his goal-scoring form in the Championship following previous stints with Middlesbrough and Ajax.
