Back in March, it occurred to me that Google was slowly removing features from their line of devices they still support. First it was Google Wallet in America then it was Google Assistant back in March (obviously in favor of Gemini). It was at this point I knew it was time to abandon ship and go elsewhere.
With some help from Facebook comments as well as , I landed on the Venu 3. It has everything I want out of a Smart Fitness watch PLUS a metric I’m really appreciating: Body Battery. If I wake up in the morning and don’t feel great and see my body battery percentage is low, I’ll know exactly why I don’t feel great.
This watch ticks all the boxes:
✅ Accurate data and sleep tracking
✅ Easy access to timer / stopwatch (for the 1-2 minute rest period between weightlifting sets)
✅ Strong Vibrating motor for alarms to go off and actually wake me up at 4:30 am to go workout
✅ Long lasting battery life (up to 14 days)
✅ Tap to pay
✅ Smart Assistant that connects to your native Smart Assistant (Siri or Google)
Health has been one of my other focuses as of lately and I am seriously appreciating that Body Battery metric. I guess that means Garmin’s motto holds up pretty well, “Engineered on the inside, For life on the outside.”
As I was figuring out how to setup these shots, I spotted this mini poster from in my room that says “What if the person you looked up to was you?” and I feel like that not only puts a little bow on top of this photos set, but perfectly encapsulates everything I’ve been working on over the last couple weeks.
Get after it! (Or as sometimes says “Let’s get this thing!”)
(Side note: I seem to grab a lot of inspiration from the multitude of YouTubers I follow… oh well. 🤣🤷🏻♂️)
