Nevada has agreed to a $4.6 million settlement over the 2023 death of inmate Christian Walker at High Desert State Prison near Las Vegas. While officials said Walker died of natural causes, an autopsy recorded head trauma and other injuries.

The lawsuit alleged Walker was beaten twice by prison guards after a dispute over personal property.
