This week’s Small Business Saturday feature is

Christine is the heart and hands of Kreative Keechie in Fairfield, NJ.
Her passion for creating began when she was a little girl. Through crafting, drawing, and photography, her ideas and creativity continued to grow and evolve ever since.

As a proud mother of two, she has embraced the joys of being a stay-at-home mom shortly after welcoming her second child.
Whenever she finds a rare quiet moment, she turns to crafting as her way to relax and let her creativity shine. What started as a love for the arts grew into a photography business (IG ) and soon expanded to transforming old furniture, and making one-of-a-kind art, jewelry, ornaments, stickers, and décor. From photos to furniture flips, every photo and every piece is created with love.

Within the next year, her goal is to start a summer craft camp for moms and children. These hands-on workshops will be designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and create memories while learning new skills. For moms, it’s a chance to unwind and enjoy a creative escape. For children, it’s a fun way to spend summer break and use their imagination. Each session will be tailored to the ages and abilities of the participants, ensuring projects are both enjoyable and achievable. Best of all, every class will end with a one-of-a-kind handmade creation to take home and treasure.

Keep It Sweet Studios, founded by artist Jamie Lombardi, blends creativity with experience. Jamie has explored a wide range of art mediums for as long as she can remember and officially launched the art side of her business in 2023. She specializes in hand-painted pieces (from champagne bottles and jackets to purses and shoes), live engraving and customization services, and custom commissions. With additional skills in wood burning, hot foiling, and sculpting, Jamie loves taking on unique challenges and pushing creative boundaries. Beyond her artwork, she also offers wedding and event planning services, bringing an artistic eye and personal touch to every celebration.

Chris Katz is the founder of Ckatzfitgym in Short Hills, NJ. He started CKatzFit with the belief that fitness should feel personal, motivating, and community-driven—not overwhelming or impersonal like many big-box gyms.

After years of experience in fitness and personal training, Chris set out to create a space where people could receive personalized training in a premium small-group environment. CKatzFit classes are designed to feel like semi-private training, giving every client focused attention on their form and progress, while still providing the energy and support of a group.

Officially launching in later 2025, CKatzFit’s mission is to help members not only get in shape, but also feel confident, supported, and part of a close-knit community. In addition to group training, the gym offers yoga, recovery services, and one-on-one training tailored to each member’s unique goals.

CKatzFit is proud to bring something new to the Short Hills/Millburn area and looks forward to continuing to grow alongside the community.

Sadie Rae Mininni founded Unforgettable Engraved Gifts in Lambertville, NJ in 2023. After years of engraving for another employer, she decided to pursue her own vision of a nostalgic gift shop that combined her creativity with her love for old fashioned things. She treasures the joyful smiles and moving reactions her work creates with her customers and their gift recipients for special occasions like weddings, newborns, graduations, holidays, memorials, and more. She offers engraving on items as widespread as jewelry and timepieces, music boxes, glassware, pens, frames, awards, and all sorts of unique gifts. Customers are welcome to bring in their own items for engraving as well. She ships and has a website for non-local ordering, but encourages a call/text/message to discuss ideas and bring a special gift to life!

A former corporate trainer, Michelle now channels her energy into sharing her love for embroidery with her company: .babes . She leads workshops at local businesses, corporate team-building events, house parties, women’s organizations, and more. Based in Bergen County, she also travels to bring her workshops to a wider audience. Participants often become as captivated as she is, many sharing that embroidery has given them a new hobby and therapeutic benefits.

Michelle is committed to providing a fun, creative experience in her workshops while fostering genuine connections with her customers—whether through social media or in-person. Her work has been recognized and featured in News 12 NJ, New Jersey Monthly, 201 Magazine, BC the Mag, The Bergen Girl, Bergen Moms Network, and more.

Embroidery Babes is actively involved in the local community, participating in events and fundraisers. When she isn’t teaching or stitching, Michelle is busy keeping up with her two children.

Like many, Michelle faced the challenges of infertility, which brought anxiety and depression into her life. She discovered that hand embroidery provided a creative outlet, helped ease her anxiety, and guided her through this difficult period. After welcoming her second child through IVF and developing a deep passion for stitching, she founded Embroidery Babes and hasn’t stopped creating since.

Through her story, Michelle hopes to inspire others by showing how personal struggles can be transformed into something beautiful. She welcomes conversations about infertility, sharing her experiences to support and uplift others facing similar challenges.

She launched the business in 2025 after becoming a mom herself and realizing just how chaotic (and crumb-filled!) life with a baby can be. Between spit-up, snack explosions, and everything in between, she knew she wasn’t alone in feeling overwhelmed by the mess.
