MDCEs AND MDCDs IN VOLTA REGION HAVE BEEN BILLED FORCEFULLY TO SPONSOR THE VOLTA REGIONAL MINISTER’s 6 DAYS WORKING TOUR.
A document circulating on social media which is purported to be coming from the office of Dr Archibald Yao Letsa who’s currently serving as the VOLTA REGIONAL MINISTER.
This letter is making waves all over social media due to the amounts M/DCEs and M/DCDs are supposed to pay before the Regional Minister will begin a tour in his own region, aside the Gh2500 and Gh2000 that they’ll be paying, they are being pushed to raise extra amount to fill the Minister’s convoy and still pay for refreshments for his team.
M/DCEs who’s appointment letters are still pending, how can they be on three different bills for the same tour?
As stated in the document, each of the 6 municipal is paying an amount of Gh2500 while each of the 12 districts are also being tasked to make payments of Gh2000.
One can not tell if this is how all representatives of the president in other constituencies are being treated or is only those in the Volta region are being treated badly like this.
It’s time for the high profile dignitaries to rise and fight for the NPP in the Volta region. They also deserve better.
Below are the letters attached to this piece...
Good evening, to God be the Glory.
The regional Minister will undertake a 6-working days duty tour of the Volta region beginning from Monday, 10th January and ending on Monday, 17th January, 2022.
The Hon. Minister's entourage comprises selected Regional Directors, selected Heads of Department, the media and the security.
The aim of the tour:
1. To familiarize with all public sector workers with special engagement with the following.
I. Local government service workers.
II. Relatively large number of new recruits posted to the region.
2. To ascertain and elicit first hand information about the circumstances leading to poor and abysmal performance of many of the assemblies in the past two years.
3. To encourage and boost the morale of hard working high performing management and staff of the assemblies.
In this regard, all M/DCEs and M/DCDs are kindly requested to be committed to delivery on the following cost sharing arrangements either ahead of schedule or on schedule.
I. Start-up fuel to be provided by VRCC.
II. Top-up fuel to be provided by each M/DA.
III. Refreshment to be provided by each M/DA.
IV. GH¢2500.00 to be contributed by each of the seven MAs and GH¢2000.00 to be contributed by each of the eleven DAs.
The VRCC would mobilize the contributions for hotel accomodation and other critical protocol needs.
We are hopeful that there would be no failures in this crucial ministerial duty tour program. Happy New year and thank you very much.
