We knew going into this campaign, into Mythfall as a whole really, that we were going to want to do a pin-up style cover - and lucky for us, Allie was eager to try her hand at a pin up. (And we’d say she more than delivered!)

And of course, Rika herself was happy to oblige!

Rika’s introduction is iconic of course, but her introduction also lets us in on her human side. As effortlessly amazing as she presents herself, Rika still needs to get up every morning and put on her armor and construct her poise. With Rika, Cici was looking to demystify the femme fatale trope. Even though Rika is a physical power character, she does not sacrifice her femininity or her heart because those are also sources of strength.

Rika is at the heart of this issue, so don’t miss your opportunity to learn more about Rika, her role as a bodyguard, and what exactly ties her so closely to young Prince Kavan.

We heard you all liked stretch goals. And do we have some cool ones coming in. 😉

Once we hit the $5,000 level we're going to be adding a new free digital reward to ALL pledge levels. The reward will be a special deep dive into one of the many locations in Mythfall.

And the best part?

It'll be up to you though to determine which one we should go to first. So let's take a look at our options:

A short time from now, in a galaxy not too far away...

We knew from the very start that we wanted to do a classic sci-fi homage for MythFall 2, and we cycled through half a dozen different options before realizing that (duh!) the answer is Star Wars. The answer is almost always Star Wars (especially for me!)

So we asked Deborah Hauber, the interior artist on Bound By Words, to do an homage cover for MythFall 2 and did she ever deliver! We are always huge fans of Bee's work and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to work with her again. Between the amazing art and Cici's retro-poster treatment, this is truly one of our most unique covers!

Variant Cover!

The first of our variant covers is by the one and only Marguerite Sauvage!

This is the first cover of newcomers Seth and Jimmy alongside fan favorites Rika and Prince Kavan! We're all big fans of Marguerite's amazing style and colors (and we know we're not alone), so we were super psyched for this one!

The colors here are bright and saturated, but the cover still feels inviting and soft which is perfect for welcoming fans, new or existing, into Issue 2.
