A Message to the United Methodist that So-called Bishop Quire.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The move toward regionalization in the United Methodist Church is nothing short of a betrayal of the Gospel witness and of the sacred trust between the people and their local congregations. It is an act that seeks to centralize power, silence voices, and rob local churches of the God-given authority to govern themselves according to the Word of God.
Let it be clearly known: the churches and schools built by the faithful people of Liberia through their sweat, sacrifice, and resources do not belong to any Annual Conference or to a bishop who has lifted not a single stone in their construction. These holy places of worship and learning are the inheritance of the people of God who built them for His glory, not the possession of any administrative structure or foreign agenda.
To the so-called bishop who seeks to lay claim to what is not his, and to those who follow him in this injustice: repent. Do not dare touch what the people of God have established with their own hands. To seize these properties is to steal from the very body of Christ and to stand under judgment.
We call on every faithful Christian to resist this evil scheme. Stand firm in defending your churches, your schools, and your communities. The Lord is not mocked, and those who exploit His people for power and gain will answer to Him.
May God give courage to His people and expose the works of darkness that masquerade as light.
