If I told you the best Tiki drinks in Tucson were at a Mexican restaurant, it’d be the truth. Thanks to a magician behind the bar named - who studies mixology with a passion and has a love of fresh ingredients - is now not only a great Mexican food restaurant, but simply a must visit bar to get incredible drinks and the story behind them. It’s a special thing indeed. And while tiki night isn’t every night, there margaritas and mixed drinks are something to bring a friend to witness.

Kevin regaled us with drinks, special tastings of some incredible rims like Sol Tarasco Angelo Rum made with mushroom 🍄‍🟫 and Heritage Blend. The mugs were fresh from and Kevin who transformed the space into a tiki spot worth visiting even had Hulu dancers.

Add to all that was there to give me my first taste of the Tucson group for - it was great to meet everyone and trade stories of rum, home tiki bars, and more.

One of kind experience. Thank you to everyone!

A nostalgic peek into the 1992 demo tape that launched the 90s neo‑lounge revival. Think vintage exotica, sultry jazz, cocktail‑bar glamour, all recorded in bassist Nick Cudahy’s living room (legend even has Liz Cox singing in the bathroom!)

13 lush, early‑take tracks—6 would later evolve into I, Sw***er standards, while 7 remained hidden gems.

This isn’t just a demo collection—it’s a sonic apéritif that ignited cocktail culture in the 1990s. These demos predate their Sub Pop debut I, Sw***er and helped spark a nationwide swing‑and‑tiki resurgence.
