DEPUTY KILLED: The Morrow County Sheriffs Office, Mt. Gilead Ohio Deputy that was shot and killed has been identified as Deputy Daniel Weston Sherrer. He was killed in the line of duty on May 26, 2025 while responding to a domestic situation. Daniel was 31 years old. Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.

POLICE OFFICER SHOT, SUSPECT KILLED: On Sunday, May 26, officers from the Bloomfield Police Department - New Mexico were involved in a traffic stop that turned violent. The suspect fired, hitting one officer. Another officer returned fire. The suspect was killed. The injured officer is at San Juan Regional Medical Center. Their condition has not been released. POLICE OFFICER ATTACKED: A 27-year veteran NYPD housing cop was viciously attacked by two masked thugs in the Bronx early Saturday morning. The officer, still in uniform, had just finished his shift and was walking to his car around 4:10 a.m. when the bandits, dressed in black, ambushed him, stealing his gun belt and other items. The officer suffered a fractured eye socket after being kicked in the head.

The New York State Police sadly announced the line-of-duty death of retired First Sergeant Michael E. Snell, who passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the age of 56. First Sergeant Snell’s death is attributed to an illness stemming from his assignment in and around the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. A Kent County judge has dismissed the possibility of a retrial for former Grand Rapids Police Department Officer Christopher Schurr, who was involved in the fatal shooting of Patrick Lyoya during a traffic stop. According to the Kent County prosecutor, 10 out of 12 jurors believed Schurr acted in self-defense.
