On my adventures, I love encountering great architecture. Some of the small communities in Oregon have some real overlooked gems. These two houses are located in the small community of Drain, Oregon. There is something to be said about the craftmanship that went into these houses. They are a feast for the eyes in comparison to the overly practical and utilitarian houses in most of our neighborhoods today. They speak to a nostalgic soul.

This is Parvin Bridge, and it was constructed in 1921. Not too shabby, for 102 years old... This little bridge is in the Dexter Area. I found the plank work interesting through the bridge. Most of the covered bridges, I have seen, have their planks just placed in a horizontal pattern. This has some laid length wise as well. Cool little bridge 🤠

I love to find strange architectural elements in the landscape. Out exploring, I came across this little crooked building on the side of the hill. Not sure what it was for, but it seems that it has seen many a day here. What a sleepy little valley. 🤠

This is Murphy Creek, just as it is about to enter the Fall Creek Reservoir. There's not much water in the reservoir right now due to it being winter. Many people come here to fish or use the water to cool off in the summer. You can find this little area at the very northeast corner of the reservoir along Big Fall Creek Rd. near the Cascara Campground in Oregon. The rocks had a good amount of frost on this day... so a little too trechous for me to climb down off the bridge...🥶😏🤠

Good morning, river walk! The Middle Fork Path that runs along the north bank of the Willamette River in Springfield, OR, is a wonderful treat... In the early morning, you can hear the birds and little critters in the undergrowth. The river sounds are very soothing too 🫠😆🏞

Ok Mr. Peabody, set the Wayback Machine to, OMG that was a long time ago... LOL
Well, I suppose some flash back pictures are ok once in a while. These were taken on a week long 50 mile canoe trek. Went down the Umpqua River in Oregon back in the late 1980's. My friend and I, along with several other brave souls, broiled under the hot sun that summer. The water was nice and cold though.
Yep, that was me in the wide brim floppy hat.

Space... the final frontier. I probably will never go to Space, not fond of heights you see, but the concept is awesome. Personally, I like the idea that once your up there... your an human astronaut. Nothing more... Nothing less. All outstanding human beings and representatives from the same little blue dot. 👨‍🚀👩‍🚀🚀🌎
