In 2019, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the "collective voice of the Muslim world" signed a letter in support of China, which was addressed to the UN human rights council, an excerpt of the letter stating that "We commend China's remarkable achievements in the field of human rights."
When 39 countries of which none are Muslim are urging China to shut down the concentration camps, the Muslim leaders show complete support and "commend of China's achievement" of forced birth control, women being forcibly sterilized and forced into labor camps to work for free under abusive conditions. Some of the leaders of the Muslim countries, such as the Saudi crown prince, defends China's right to put Uyghur Muslims in concentration camps, and Pakistan's Prime Minister, claims that he "doesn't know much about it." In addition, Turkey is accused of deporting Uyghurs back to China.'
