An unqualified lab janitor and devoted father who embarks on a quest to find a cure for his 9-year-old daughter who is gravely ill. Amid a deadly waterborne virus outbreak called Hydroxy, which claimed the life of his girlfriend and many others in his community. He faces constant threats from a powerful pharmaceutical cartel on his quest in devising a cure.

CALL FOR JUMPSTART SUBMISSIONS📢

Project submissions for the 13th edition JUMPSTART, presented by the Durban FilmMart Institute in partnership with Produire au Sud, Nantes ATELIERS PRODUIRE AU SUD, the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) are now open.

Jumpstart is an incubator programme designed to introduce emerging filmmakers to writing and packaging. Focussing on project packaging for the international market, filmmakers are introduced to key techniques and tools for scriptwriting and storytelling processes. Projects will be guided by script consultants from South Africa and France
