It’s time for another Gaxx Worx G20 magazine! Issue 10: The Book of Drowned an adventure to be played with 4 to 6 PCs of 1st to 4th level.

As the adventure opens, it is the afternoon before a full moon lunar eclipse. In keeping with its reputation, Tamara is celebrating this celestial event with a city-wide, all-night masquerade festival involving a barge parade, lots of drinking, food, and dancing, various debaucheries and shenanigans, and definitely some criminal activity under the cover of a really fantastic, masked party.

Nicknamed “The Sunken City,” Tamara occupies a lagoon next to a deep-water harbor and stretches over “the Two Hundred Islands” (really closer to 150 small islets). Over 500 bridges stretch over innumerable canals and seaways as buildings sit half in and half out of the water. The port district dominates the harbor’s edge, while the Xandrian Lighthouse punctuates the far edge of the harbor.

“As far as best friends go, you are the worst,” I whisper yell at Beth as she takes another swig of the now warm beer she didn’t spill a drop of as we climbed up the fire escape.
Worst best friend ever!

That is until I peer inside the open window Beth convinced me to drunkenly climb up to… David’s boxer-clad form is sprawled out amongst sheet music and cassette tapes. His guitar safely sits on the stand not far from his bed.
Beth is soo the best.

“He looks like a real rockstar, Carrie!” Beth mumbled.

“Am I the best-best friend now?” she said smirking stupidly at me.

“You are, now shut up,” I tell her.

I turn back to ogle the man of my dreams… but he’s gone.
Beth looks like she has seen a ghost, I stupidly turn to my left to find the man in question standing behind me with a knowing smirk on his face.

“Time to dip,” Beth screams, she tosses her beer at David and launches herself down the ladder.

“Don’t you dare,” David growls reaching out to block my escape.

Greetings Gaxxers,

It’s time for another issue of G20 magazine! The Edge of the Rift is an adventure for 4 to 6 PCs of 6th to 8th level. Join as a Silver member and playthrough this adventure.

If your new to the Gaxx Worx or to the Gaxx Worx patreon, this adventure is in the World of Okkorim™ by Luke Gygax. Here are some ways to bring this adventure to your table.

Adventure Hooks. If running this adventure as a standalone module, skip ahead to Act 1 where Event 1 will provide everything necessary to get started. For campaign play, the following suggested hooks may help lead players into the adventure.

Missing Components. Perhaps a wizard contact of the group or just a local wizard in the city of Chentoufi has requested a sample of riftium from a recently revealed deposit just outside the Rift. Unfortunately, it’s guarded by a fanatical cult of demon-worshippers.

Zenok’s Message. A zenok—an almost superhuman elementalist in the city of Chentoufi—has lost contact with their outpost near the Rift and is growing worried about his followers. He tasks the characters with investigating and they discover an unruly group of demon-worshippers has killed the inhabitants, tak ing the outpost for themselves.

For the Museum. One of the libraries in Chentoufi has no sample of riftium in their collections. They have asked the party to track one down and return it for a handsome reward.
