Meet Sight of Emptiness, Costa Rica’s answer to the question “what if we made melodic death metal absolutely MASSIVE?!”.

On “Nausea”, they throw crushing riffs, industrial textures, huge melodies and just the right amount of chaos into something that feels dark, cinematic and genuinely enormous. These guys have been doing this for years and it SHOWS, polished without losing the teeth, heavy without forgetting the hooks and basically the musical equivalent of being punched in the face somewhere really scenic. We’re into it.

Traverse the Abyss make the kind of heavy music that makes you want to run through a wall...but, like, in a surprisingly positive and emotionally healthy way.

On “Manifest”, they throw metalcore, deathcore and nu-metal into one enormous melting pot of riffs, groove and pure determination, turning a song about betting on yourself into four-and-a-half minutes of “f**k it, I’m doing this.” Heavy enough to rearrange your furniture, uplifting enough to make you put it back afterwards. We LOVE this.

Meet Homecoming UK, the UK pop-punk crew proving that growing older absolutely does NOT mean growing out of three chords and questionable emotional decisions. On “Caitlin”, they bottle up everything that made us fall in love with pop punk in the first place - huge hooks, heart-on-sleeve songwriting and that perfect hit of nostalgia, without sounding like they’re desperately trying to teleport back to 2003. Catchy, honest and ridiculously easy to shout along to...our knees might hurt now, but apparently pop punk still doesn’t.

Meet Heartsick, the Michigan heavyweights who have spent years perfecting the art of making something sound absolutely vicious without forgetting the atmosphere. On “Sinister”, they lean straight into their self-described DARKNUCORE world: crushing riffs, eerie textures, groove for days and the kind of chorus that sneaks up on you before the whole thing caves your chest in. Heavy, weird, ridiculously well put together…basically everything we want from a band that refuses to behave itself.

Nectar Collector are one of those bands where you press play thinking you know where it’s going...and then very quickly realise you absolutely do not. “Underwater” throws alternative rock, grungey weight and a whole lot of personality into the blender, backed by lyrics that actually give you something to chew on. Weird in the right places, catchy when it counts and refreshingly difficult to put into a neat little box. Are they Swancore, Post-Hardcore....Alternative?! More of THIS please.
