It's been a long time since I posted on this page.

I posted on my author page for the first time in years, may as well do the same with this one.

The podcast is alive and well.

I'm having the most fun I've ever had in interviews and things are starting to really come together.

The podcast also had its biggest month so far downloads wise with 1.3k downloads in January 2023!

Here's a link to it if you haven't given it a listen in a while:

The best is surely coming.

I had a bit too much fun with this... 🤣👌

Hopefully this little skit provides some humor therapy for someone besides myself. 😂😂🤣

The podcasting struggle really be like this sometimes.

Today I have really felt the two different voices in my head.

There’s the more daring one... and the more practical one.

It’s important to give both of them their say.

If you remember the movie Inside Out it is good to have joy but you also need to have the other emotions.

They all help you understand life better and empathize more with others.

In any case... I’m going to empathize with the more practical part of me and get some more sleep. 😴

On a slight side note I have been reading a lot about different business models and trying to have more of a creator’s mindset so that’s sweet.

All right I’m out. 😎

I post a lot more on IG and LinkedIn about the podcast than I do on here.

I figured that I’d share the love a bit though.

Things are going fantastically.

Many doors are opening up.

Pumped for the future. :)

When your mind is racing with thoughts...

and you cannot keep up.

It can feel overwhelming.

When this happens I invite you to do what Richard Oelberger PhD shared on the most recent episode of my podcast, Y.I.E.L.D. Today With Dallin Candland.

Check in with your body.

Make sure you are where your feet are.

Do what you can do to help ease the immediate need.

Then move forward.

There were tons of little nuggets from this episode. I'm very thankful to Richard for coming on and sharing these things for our benefit.

I'm sharing personal experiences, stories, and things that have helped me succeed in my life and get through the struggles I've gone through. My hope is that this podcast gives a voice for those who feel that they have no voice, and helps them to appreciate their lives and look forward with faith.I'...

Lots of great things happening behind the scenes! Here's an exclusive mini-interview that I did with Bob Morley, who works for BYU Idaho in the Business Department! He's made a big difference in my life. Bob was the first interview that I did on the podcast. Unfortunately I lost the audio files but we still have this fun little video. More to come for sure. Hope you enjoy. :)

Yep! Another episode! I've been pretty consistent lately, and I'm very happy about that. I don't feel like I've compromised quality but that I'm actually adding to it! It's a good feeling. :) I just started a new semester of school today but I don't plan on missing any weekly uploads.

The last 3 months have taught me tons about how the priorities in our lives really dictate so much of how our days go, and what we end up accomplishing. It'll take some effort for sure, but I know that I can keep up this pace with the Lord's help and that of others. I also believe that we can push beyond where we are currently at and get to new heights. With God all things are possible. ;)

As always if you enjoy YIELD Today please make sure you let someone else know. This is honestly some of the best advice I could give someone on this subject, and I really hope it helps as many people as possible. Thank you so much! :D

Here it is. This is the most important episode of the podcast so far.

Sharing a message that I have ample experience with, and also of helping people with. I recorded this around 11 PM yesterday and I'm just now uploading it. I've been working on it this whole time... Please listen and share. If there is one episode of my podcast that you ever listen to let it be this one. There were laughs, jokes, me trying to beat box, and more. I really felt like I was in my element, really getting into it. :D

I wish I could have had episodes like this right out of the gate, but the truth is I've had to keep learning and try to improve with each episode. This one is definitely a turning point. Don't miss it. :)

I had SO much fun with this one! I tried to beatbox, told some stories, and made some jokes it was great. Hope you enjoy and please share if you enjoyed. This is definitely a message that definitely needs to be heard. Thanks! :)Parker's Podcast "U...

It's finally up! I enjoyed making this one a lot. New episode coming out Thursday as well. Yep we're hitting the pavement pretty hard this week. Seeing if I'm able to keep up this pace. I'm planning on uploading two episodes each week until the end of March. Going to be doing more interviews and also more personal episodes. Hope you enjoy. :)

New episode coming tomorrow morning! The last few days have been very instructive for me, today especially. After this week I should be able to get a new episode out each Monday consistently for a while. I just needed a bit more practice with it.
I'm starting to really go into overdrive with the podcast and believe in it and the YIELD acronym more. I'm going to try to get an episode out on Thursday as well each week in March.I'm going to have to work way hard to make it happen (and still have a quality episode) but I want it to happen. Let's see if we can make it happen. :)

Great things are just around the corner if I just keep on the path I'm on. Thank you as always for your continued support. Many things are in the works but I'm trying to do the best that I can with what I have right now, which is a lot. :)

We are making progress! Today marks 6 months since I started the podcast (it was August 24, 2019). I've gotten three episodes of the podcast out this month!! I just posted the 18th one. :D

Lots of other exciting news too! We've recently passed 500 total downloads as well We've finally gotten out of North America and have made our way into Sweden and Slovakia! Very exciting and I cannot thank you all enough for your continued support and encouragement. :)

The podcast also got spotlighted by Parker Kane of the Upbeat Podcast which was very, very encouraging. If you don't listen to his podcast I'd highly recommend it. Parker interviews a lot of professionals from many walks of life. He also beatboxes on his podcast which is sweet too!

Here's a link to the episode where he gave me the shout-out. He's an awesome dude definitely would recommend you keep an eye on him. Thanks!! ;)

2019 was a very interesting and special year. It was a time of decision, and I'm experiencing the fruits of some of those decisions right now. Many of the lessons that I learned came kind out of nowhere, and I'm thankful for them. I'm a better person because of what I learned in 2019. I feel bad about only two episodes in January. I'm planning on getting at least 4 solid episodes of the podcast out in February. The podcast is now available on iHeart Radio and Stitcher as well. Good things are coming. Let's do this!

2019 was a BIG year for me. I experimented with a lot of things in my life and tried to live each day like I was a scientist in my own lab. I also started a business on the BYU Idaho campus for a semester in a class called IBC (which stands for In...

Holy COW people! I am so sorry about this. I got caught up with school and the two little finals I had and yeah I've been making excuses. I apologize for this.

Anyways... in this episode I talked about three Christmas stories that are really comeback stories. I tried to mix it up and throw in some stories with my own flair on them, and one of them is about how a Christmas story came to be, and how it was a comeback for the owner! It's epic! Seriously I think it's pretty sweet!

I cannot deny that I've felt that God's helped me rebound from this mishap though, and I'd like to say that I've learned from it. This podcast is now an investment that I am now putting time AND money into, so I really would like it to help some people like it's helping me and some others. So to keep the podcast live now I'm paying money, but I enjoy doing this so much it's okay.

Still... I'm not naive to the money I'm spending. I gotta put in at least some degree of professional effort, especially since I'm paying to do this, and not the other way around. The good news though is that I have the next three episodes already recorded, and I don't plan on missing one week of uploading in 2020! Again, I'll be sure to keep you all updated. Thanks so much and hope you enjoy the listen. :)

I'm being humbly reminded of how hard it can be to continue in the beginnings of a new venture. Despite all of the love and support I feel both from up above and from many individuals here on Earth I still have my doubts about this. My "empty-net' days.

With that said... the next episode, Episode #13: "Bouncing Back From Adversity" is probably one of the closest ones to my heart I've done period. I can see myself sharing this episode in particular with dozens and dozens of people. :)

I know for certain that what I shared in this episode can help you if you're going through something extremely difficult.
I get pretty personal here. I'd really appreciate feedback. I'm going to start making 30-second powerful bits of the podcast to blast all over the internet.I should of done that from the beginning but this episode is too much for me to ignore.

Also, a quick little win-loss story about this episode's creation. I spent about 30 minutes typing out some AMAZING show notes (seriously, I was very impressed with myself) for this episode but when I clicked save... they didn't save. That's why the show notes for this one are very lacking. The show notes are supposed to be there to give you guys more resources to help you learn more and ultimately change for good as a result of what you learned here. I'll type up new ones for this episode on Saturday. I'll make that my "Show Note" day. Right now I've been running on 5 hours of sleep for nearly 17 hours.... I need to go to bed.

Anyways... from this kind of frustrating experience I relearned that I have to absolutely make sure that something is saved before I call it good (even if it says it is saved) and I also learned a solid ways to get some AMAZING show notes for each episode (at least for the time being, I'll probably find out another way soon enough). It'll be a lot of work but it'll be worth it. :)

Also a friendly reminder that the podcast is available on Spotify, YouTube, and iTunes as well. Any support is of course appreciated. Thanks so much for listening! I look forward to hearing your feedback.
