It gives me immense pleasure to share that Mr. Sajad Ahmad Makroo and Mr. Sameer Ahmad Wani have been promoted to the position of Senior Assistant and posted at HSS Chakoora and ZEO Office Lurgam, respectively.

This promotion is a reflection of their hard work, dedication, and professionalism over the years. Both officers have consistently demonstrated a deep sense of responsibility towards their duties and have shown remarkable punctuality and commitment in every task assigned to them. Their positive attitude, cooperative nature, and sincere approach towards work have earned them respect among their colleagues and superiors alike.

The promotion of Mr. Makroo and Mr. Wani is truly well-deserved, acknowledging their contributions to the department and their unwavering efforts to uphold efficiency and discipline within the office. In a landmark event that will be remembered for years to come, PM SHRI Government BMS/GMS Soiteng proudly hosted the prestigious National Award Distribution Ceremony in collaboration with the renowned NGO RAAH Group. Gandhi Jayanti Celebration by ABRS

On the 2nd of October, the world celebrated Gandhi Jayanti to honor the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. To mark this important occasion, a special function was organized at Tulsi Bagh by the Akhil Bharat Rachnatmak Samaj (ABRS) under the leadership of its JKUT President, Janab Suna Ullah Tamire Sahib.

The event was graced by the presence of the former Speaker of the Assembly, who attended as the Chief Guest. Senior Executive Members of ABRS also accompanied Tamire Sahib, reflecting the organization’s commitment to carrying forward the timeless principles of Gandhiji—peace, non-violence, and truth.

A high-level condolence delegation, led by Vice Chairman JKTF, Vice President EJAC and Senior Leader ABRS, Mr. Bashir Ahmed, visited the residence of Peer Syed Ab Rashid to express their heartfelt sympathies and solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. The delegation also included Lecturer Reyaz ul Haq, Ab Majeed Sofi, Lecturer Ab Ahad Nagar, and other prominent leaders from District Pulwama.

JKTF Chairman, Mr. Showkat Ali Beigh, also conveyed his condolences, joining the family in prayers for the departed soul.

The late Syed Rashid Sahib was the brother of Syed Bashir Ahmad, J&K Bank Manager Syed Muneer Ahmad, and a close relative of EJAC leader Syed Rouf Sahib, Syed Ashraf, and noted social activist Ravi Jan Inder.

The delegation paid glowing tributes to the departed soul, remembering him with deep respect and affection. They extended their profound condolences to the entire bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. *JK Teachers Forum Delegation Meets Education Minister; Presents Charter of Demands for Strengthening Education Sector*

A high-level delegation of the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), led by its Chairman Showkat Ali Beigh, today met the Hon’ble Education Minister, Madam Sakina Itoo, at the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar. The delegation comprised prominent office bearers including Senior Vice Chairman Gh. Ahmad Mir, Vice Chairman Bashir Ahmad Thokur, Convener Bashir Ahmad Padder, General Secretary Tahir Sofi, Financial Secretary M. Ashraf Lone, Chief Organiser Dr. Bilal, Chief Disciplinarian,Gulzar Ahmad Reshi, and Provincial President Irfan Nazir.

During the meeting, the JKTF leadership presented a comprehensive Charter of Demands highlighting pressing issues faced by the teaching community and students, seeking immediate redressal for the upliftment of the education sector and smooth functioning of schools across the Union Territory.

Key Issues Raised by JKTF:

*Confirmation and regularisation of in-charge posts including Head of Institutions, CEOs, ZEOs, Principals, and others.

*Timely promotions for teachers to end stagnation and uplift morale.

*Implementation of an annual transfer drive covering at least 25% of teachers to ensure transparency and fairness.

*Rationalisation of human resources to address disparities and ensure adequate staff across institutions.

*Timely availability of textbooks for every student at the beginning of the academic session.

*Strengthening of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme for quality and consistency.

*Timely release of school grants to support proper upkeep and functioning of institutions.

*Enhancement of wages for Aayas and cooks, who form the backbone of support staff in schools.

The Hon’ble Minister, Madam Sakina Itoo, gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all genuine demands will be considered on priority and addressed at the earliest possible.

The JKTF leadership expressed deep gratitude to the Minister for her positive response and reiterated its unwavering commitment to continue working for the welfare of teachers, students, and the overall betterment of the education system in Jammu & Kashmir.

Srinagar, September 28:
A high-level delegation today visited Srinagar, Kashmir, to review the situation arising out of the recent floods in Jammu and Kashmir and to take stock of several other pressing issues concerning the region.

The delegation was led by Mr. Ramesh Yadav, President of the Folklore Research Academy, Amritsar, and comprised eminent personalities including Dr. Gurmai Singh Sidhu, Dr. Manpreet Singh, Dr. Johal, and Dr. Parjeet Singh.

The visiting dignitaries were warmly received at Sheikh-ul-Alam International Airport, Budgam by Sonaullah Tamiri (PRESIDENT ABRS) Srinagar by Mr. G.N. Shaheen, former Member of Parliament, who was also part of the delegation. Accompanying the delegation was Mr. Altaf Hussain (SENIOR EXECUTIVE MEMBER),Senior Director (Drama) and noted artist, Mr Bashir Ahmed THOKUR (Vice President JKTF & Senior executive member ABRS who extended support in coordinating the visit.

During their stay, the delegation is scheduled to hold interactions with various stakeholders and gather firsthand information about the challenges faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of natural calamities and other socio-cultural concerns. It should be noted that the said delegation also distributed various relief items back in 2014 after devastating floods engulfed the State of Jammu and kashmir.
