Finally have water at home, time to restart the garden. Maize, chibwabwa, mponda, green beans, r**e, delele, peas, cabbage, lumanda and green pepper.

Really excited to plant lumanda for the first time.

On this day last year, our organisation was formed to reforest indegenous trees and help farmers become climate resilient through agroforestry.

Thank you for everyone that has been involved in our journey.

In Chisengu village in Chongwe, villagers are selling 30 year old musangu trees for as low as K300 to illegal timber traders who make more when they sell the logs.

Not only are we raising awareness about climate change, we also advocating for stiffer laws against illegal timber trade.

Illegal timber traders are exploiting poor villagers and cutting down trees in their fields.

Without a proactive tree planting scheme, we will lose these amazing musangu trees.
