Three months ago today, my beautiful beloved mom danced into the big ballroom next door, where her favorite music plays forever and she can fancy-dance until dawn everyday. Losing a beloved parent, especially one you have been caregiving to for several years, well, the loss is paralyzing, cuts you off at the knees. It stops life and everything becomes unimportant except the cherishing of the memory, in my case, of mom. Not a moment goes by and she is not with me still, still inside my heart, whispering to me how best to honor her love, with love. How best to live life deeply, richly, with love. With a devotion to celebrating her life, and all life. To cherish life. I am committed to honoring her beautiful dancing laughing spirit through friendships, and new meaningful artwork creations in theatre, film and visual art shared with love. . .. and daily rituals of remembrance.
This beautiful picture of mom and I was taken last July during Calgary Stampede celebrations. I LOVE YOU MOM.
