The California Department of Fish and Wildlife said it had received reports of the bizarre occurrence in Wild pigs with ‘bright blue’ flesh are again showing up around California and causing concern.

Californian authorities have issued warnings after trappers once again reported finding wild pigs with “bright blue” flesh. and that the phenomenon is a sign that the animals have been poisoned.

A statement issued by the CDFW last week said that wild pigs in the Monterey County area had been exposed to pesticide bait containing the anticoagulant rodenticide Diphacinone, a poison that prevents blood from clotting and causes internal bleeding in rodents, ultimately killing them.

Blue tissue and flesh can be a sign of rodenticide ingestion, which can occur by eating bait – which often contain dye to identify them as poison – or other animals that have ingested the substance, the department said.

However, such blue discoloration may not always be present even in contaminated flesh.

“Hunters should be aware that the meat of game animals, such as wild pig, deer, bear and geese, might be contaminated if that game animal has been exposed to rodenticides,”

The secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Kristi Noem, has announced, the US plans to expand the number of countries covered by its travel ban to more than 30.

Noem, in an interview was asked to confirm whether the Trump administration would be increasing the number of countries on the travel ban list to beyond 30.

Kristi Noem “I won’t be specific on the number, but it’s over 30, she said; and the president is continuing to evaluate countries & signed a proclamation in June banning the citizens of 12 countries from entering the United States and restricting those from seven others, saying it was needed to protect against “foreign terrorists” and other security threats.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth called Admiral Alvin Holsey on the carpet to address the admiral's refusal to carry out fishing boat attacks in the Caribbean. Admiral Holsey has receipts.

Admiral Holsey expressed his Objection and concerns for civilian casualties. Secretary Hegseth pushed back and reminded the admiral of his sworn duty. Admiral Holsey informed Hegseth that he had no intention of carrying out an illegal order after forty years of service in the U.S. Navy.

In response to the admiral's stance, Hegseth threatened to strip Holsey of his command. The meeting became heated and quickly adjourned.
Less than fifteen minutes later Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth received Admiral Alvin Holsey's letter of resignation.

In recent days, members of Congress have reached out to Admiral Holsey requesting him to testify on events surrounding his resignation.
