Former Head of the SA Defence Force in the 80's and leader of the Freedom Front Plus, General Constand Viljoen has died on his farm in Ohrigstad. He was 86. Viljoen will be remembered as a soldier and leader par excellence. He was also allegedly approached by a group of disgruntled white Afrikaners to lead them in a military effort during the last phases of the transformation period to a new democratic South Africa. He apparently decided not to be a part of these plans.
