Virginia Williams wore an inflatable bald eagle costume to the “No Kings” rally in Ventura on Oct. 18, part of a wave of protests involving an estimated 6.5 million participants nationwide.

“It’s a symbol of our freedom. It’s a symbol of our United States and it always has been. I’d like to reinforce and remind people that we’re here for a reason,” the Port Hueneme resident told the Ventura County Reporter. “They are capable and strong critters that also take very good care of their young.”
