The Mountain Dreamer – A Short Story
In the dusty lanes of a small Pakistani town in the 1990s, lived a boy named Imran. Without the internet or modern resources, books were his world and dreams his fuel. He aspired to become a doctor—not for fame, but to serve.
He was the eldest among four siblings, always helping them with schoolwork and giving them his share of anything sweet.
Obedient to his parents and kind-hearted, Imran studied under lantern light when electricity failed, and walked miles to the local library for old medical books.
His heart belonged to the northern valleys of Pakistan. Once a year, he'd take a small trip to the mountains, breathing in the peace he longed to give others through healing.
Years of struggle passed, but he never gave up. And one day, he wore the white coat with pride proof that perseverance and kindness bloom even without technology.
