Hi everyone! 🙌 We’re looking for a skilled Shopify developer or team to create an accessible and visually appealing e-commerce website. The site must comply with ADA and WCAG 2.1 standards, which is a legal requirement for our U.S.-based client.
Key Requirements:
ADA & WCAG 2.1 Compliance
The website must follow ADA and WCAG 2.1 guidelines, ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities. This includes features like screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and alternative text for images.
Shopify Development
Expertise in Shopify, including custom theme creation and user-friendly design.
Strong knowledge of Shopify’s Liquid code language.
Animations and Multimedia Editing
Ability to add smooth animations that don’t affect accessibility.
Skills in editing and optimizing images and videos to create an engaging visual experience.
Social Media Integration
Integration with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and possibly Pinterest to enable easy sharing, syncing, and e-commerce features.
Project Scope:
- Design and build a Shopify website that meets all functional and accessibility requirements.
- Create a visually appealing design while following ADA/WCAG standards.
- Add accessible animations and media.
- Fully integrate with the listed social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating ADA-compliant and WCAG 2.1 accessible websites, especially for U.S.-based clients.
- Portfolio of previous Shopify projects that meet similar requirements.
- Good communication skills and ability to provide regular updates.
