JOKE OF THE DAY: A truck driver walks into a cafe on the Hume Highway with a full-grown emu behind him.

The waitress asks for his order.

The truckie says, "I'll have a hamburger, chips and a coffee." He turns to the emu, "What about you?"

"Sounds good to me, I'll have the same," the emu replies.

The waitress returns with their orders. "That'll be $10.50 please." The truckie reaches into his pocket, pulls out the exact change and pays her.

The next day, the truckie and the emu return. He repeats his order, "A hamburger, chips and a coffee, please." The emu repeats, "Sounds good. Same for me, please."

Once more, the truckie reaches into his pocket and produces the exact amount.

This is their routine for a couple of days. One night, the two enter again.

"I guess you'll have the usual?" asks the waitress.

"No, it's Friday night. I'll have a steak, baked potatoes and a salad," says the truckie. "Sounds great, same for me, too," says the emu.

The waitress brings the order and says, "That will be $32.65."

Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table.

I THOUGHT THE NECKLACE WAS A GIFT FROM MY BOYFRIEND, BUT HE DUMPED ME WHEN HE SAW IT.

My life was a grind — cleaning, cooking, and waiting for my fiancé Peter to come home from work. I didn't mind much, but sometimes I felt more like a maid than his fiancée.
Well, one day, everything flipped. On one such routine day, a courier rang my doorbell and handed me a package. I wasn't expecting any delivery, so we checked the data to see if the package was indeed meant for me. And it was; it was definitely for me.

Out of curiosity, I immediately opened the box and almost fell off my feet. Inside was an incredibly beautiful jeweled necklace with multicolored stones.
"Is it from Peter?" I thought. But it didn't look like him at all; even the engagement ring he'd bought me was made of cheap materials.

Leslie quickly realized that the shuddering bundle that had startled Amy was a little boy. He'd been crying and looked up at her with tearful eyes.

"What the hell?!" Leslie asked the young boy who had surprised her. "What's your name?"

The boy hugged his knees and started crying again. She crouched down in front of him.

The boy sniffled. "I'm Ben."

Leslie helped him up and let him sit in one of the crew jump seats while she searched the passenger list for his name.

Suddenly, she frowned and checked the list again.

I thought about all the Julias I'd ever met but couldn't recall anyone who mattered. “Come on!” she insisted, pulling me along.

I agreed, following her to a neat little house. She opened the door, dashed inside, and shouted, "MOM! MOM! HE'S HERE! THE MAN FROM YOUR WALLET!"

I stood awkwardly in the hallway until she returned, holding her mother's hand. The woman froze, her hand covering her mouth, her face pale.

When I saw her, she began to cry. I stared, speechless. Then she lowered her hand, and my heart sank.

I WAS GOING THROUGH MY MOM'S THINGS WHEN I FOUND AN UNKNOWN BABY BIRTH BRACELET.

My mom was in the hospital, so I went to grab her things. I was just going through the list, nothing unusual, until... I found an old box in the attic. It was mostly junk inside, but a yellowed birth bracelet caught my eye. It said, "Baby Boy Williams, Claire W." My mom's name... But the boy? I never had a brother!

I dug deeper and found a tiny baby blanket with "C.W." stitched in the corner. Then I saw it — an old black-and-white photo... It was my mom, impossibly young, holding a baby. She looked so full of love, almost glowing! On the back, it said, "My Collin, Winter 1983."

Collin? My hands were shaking... I couldn't think straight. Without hesitation, I grabbed the photo and rushed to my mom, desperate for answers.👇
