My boyfriend kicked me and my 5-year-old son out of the house. He had experienced fits of anger before, but nothing as extreme as this. Our belongings — bags, clothes, and Carter's toys — were scattered across the front lawn.

"MY MIL GAVE ME SHOES FOR MY BIRTHDAY – SOMETHING WAS BOTHERING MY FOOT UNTIL I LIFTED THE INSOLE

So, for my birthday, my MIL — who honestly can't stand me — gave me a pair of shoes. I thought it strange since she never gives me gifts and isn't exactly warm towards me. The shoes looked nice, and I didn't want to upset my husband, so I kept them.

About a week later, I had a business trip to another state and figured I'd wear the shoes. But wandering around the airport, I noticed one shoe felt just a bit too tight. ""Strange,"" I thought. ""Both are the same size, so that can't be it.""

Then, at security, I had to take them off to put them on the scanner. An officer came up and said, ""Ma'am, there's something inside one of your shoes. Could you lift the insole, please?""

When I pulled up the insole, the officer asked, giving me a serious look, ""Ma'am, care to explain this?"" ⬇️"

My father has always been the rock of our family. For as long as I can remember, he has been there, supporting and protecting us alongside my mother. But when I was 14 years old, my father went on a business trip. A few days later, my world shattered when my mom said that Dad had passed away.

Now I am married and have a beautiful son. Recently, we went on vacation and asked my mom to look after the house. But when we returned, unexpectedly, my mom wasn't home. And this note was lying on the couch.

"OUR SON MADE A SCARECROW TO TRICK US INTO THINKING HE WAS HOME WHILE SNEAKING OUT – AND THEN THE POLICE CAME

I looked into my son's room to check how he was doing. His figure sat still behind the monitor with a hood over his head. I touched my son's shoulder, and he didn't move. It appeared to be a scarecrow he made out of his hoodie, a mop, and some strategically placed pillows. He had secretly left the house.

A few hours later, my husband and I saw him sitting on a park bench, talking to a pretty girl. We thought everything was alright. But after a week, policemen came to our house.

""WHERE IS YOUR SON, MA'AM?"" the officer asked me.⬇️"

"I became a single mom of 3. It wasn't easy, but I did it somehow.

That day, I was walking with my kids in the park. I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching us. Turning around, I saw a young woman nearby with twin babies. Her eyes were red from crying. I couldn't just walk past.

""Miss, are you alright?"" I asked.

""Huh? Oh, thanks. Sorry, the past few days have been... tough,"" she said, looking away. She now mostly watched a gathering of people nearby. It seemed like it was a wedding. ""By the way, you have lovely kids!""

""Oh, thank you! Your boys are adorable too! It must be tiring with them, right?""

""You don't say. Could you help me?"" her eyes sparkled weirdly. ""Could you look after my kids for just 10 minutes? I have to find my... friend.""

""Oh, no problem!"" I agreed.

She didn't come back in 10 minutes. Not in an hour either. She was nowhere to be seen in the park—she had just vanished. I looked at the cute twin babies. One of them grabbed my finger and squeezed it tightly, smiling. I sat on the bench, crying, not believing that someone could leave these kids forever.

Imagine this: it's the evening after the holidays, and I'm enjoying the last glow of my Christmas lights — reindeer, cascading lights, and my favorite, a huge rainbow-lit sleigh. Suddenly, I hear a crash.

I look outside, and Linda's kids are tearing through my yard! One's climbing into my sleigh, another is ripping lights off my reindeer. Furious but trying to stay calm, I yell, ""Linda! Can you get your kids out of my yard? They're wrecking my decorations!""

Linda doesn't even look up from her phone. ""They're just kids having fun. What's the big deal?"" Then, with a smug smirk, ""You're rich enough to fix it, aren't you?""

Stunned, I reply, ""They're destroying my property!""

She shrugs. ""Maybe if your display wasn't so flashy, it wouldn't attract attention. Tone it down next year.""

The kids laugh. One kicks my sleigh and sneers, ""Nice sleigh. Too bad it's gonna fall over!"" Another adds, ""You'll just fix it. You're obsessed with that stuff!""

I was livid. And it didn't stop. Every night, they came back. Every morning, more damage: deflated Santa, broken reindeer, ripped lights. I caught it all on camera, but when I confronted Linda again, she smirked and said, ""Do whatever you need to do, sweetheart. It's just decorations.""

That was it. I was done being nice. Challenge accepted, Linda. I went straight to the store and bought everything I needed for my plan. ⬇️"

I cooked a big dinner, and my husband picked up some great steaks. We were really looking forward to meeting our future DIL. But when my son walked in with her, I almost lost it. I recognized her immediately. When she introduced herself, everything clicked into place!

So there’s a knock at the door, and when I open it, there’s this girl who looks about 15. Her face seemed oddly familiar, like I'd seen it before. She wasn't wearing a coat, and her fingers looked frozen. She asked, ""Can I have something to cover up with? A coat, a blanket, anything?""

Without thinking, I let her in and offered her whatever she needed to warm up. But then she started to behave suspiciously. She was quiet, didn't want to talk about her parents, and begged me not to call the police. She said she didn't have any ID or a phone. (Really?)

I couldn't shake the feeling that I knew her from somewhere, so while she was in the bathroom, I checked her jacket and voila — ID card! ⬇️"

I'm a nurse, and my husband's a realtor. He doesn't have a clue about the workload and mental stress I go through every single day. It's like he completely stopped caring about me or what I'm dealing with. He's pulled some selfish stunts before, but this time he really crossed the line.

We booked a vacation at a beach resort in advance, but just a day before the flight, our kids got sick. I was about to call the airline and ask about getting a refund, but guess what my husband said?

""I'M STILL GOING ON VACATION. YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I NEED A BREAK FROM WORK!"" (Uh, do I not work too!?).
