We had the pleasure of checking out the documentary 'Seeds' at the esteemed Pickford Film Center last Thursday, and though it may lack the story structure that some are looking for, it has a deep meditative quality that ultimately resonates across generations, and exposes the very real racism that still exists today.

Just as importantly, this film was shot by one filmmaker for the most part - which speaks to the fact that we can all go out and make powerful things. Read this article about her:

When we were contacted 4 years ago to create the fundraising film for the expansion of the Pickford Film Center, we jumped at the chance. It's truly one of our favorite places in town, and telling a story about telling stories seemed like a dream come true. So we made this.

This past weekend, it all became a reality. The grand opening of the Pickford on Grand is now very real, and so many great people worked hard to make this happen. Kudos to you all - and pass the popcorn...

Home Sweet Home.

Here's a screenshot from our studio shoot, a high-performance gingerbread house that is almost 100% edible. This spot is for A1DesignBuild, supporting the nonprofit fundraising efforts of HomesNow. Not Later. here in Whatcom County - and will be on display at the Port of Bellingham's Holiday Gingerbread event this weekend at the Ferry Terminal in Fairhaven.

The house was made via the exacting efforts of artists Denise Miller and Tom Roberts, and was lensed by Chris Koser. More to come....
