Black Ops 7 is in the spotlight again, and not for good reasons. The game has now dropped to a 1.9 user score on Metacritic, making it the lowest-rated Call of Duty release in the franchise’s entire history. Hundreds of players are leaving negative reviews, pushing the score below even Modern Warfare 3’s infamous 2.3.

Most of the backlash is aimed at the campaign, with fans calling it messy, over-the-top, and nowhere near the quality they expected from a sequel to Black Ops 2. Complaints mention everything from giant zombie bosses to flying machetes, and many feel the story just doesn’t fit the tone of the classic Black Ops games.

The game is also catching heat for being always-online, even for solo content — something players say ruins the experience. And after the controversy over AI-generated assets, frustration has only grown stronger.

Interestingly, while users are shredding the game, critics currently have it sitting at 84/100, meaning the reviewer scores and player scores are wildly split. Still, with most user ratings sitting at 0/10 or 1/10, it’s clear that Black Ops 7 is facing a massive review-bombing wave.

Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 just made gaming history again 🤠 — it’s now the fourth best-selling video game of all time.

According to Take-Two’s latest investor call, the western epic has sold over 79 million copies, making it the best-selling title of the last seven years in the U.S. by dollar sales. That pushes it ahead of Mario Kart 8 and PUBG, with only Minecraft, GTA V, and Wii Sports still ahead.

The entire Red Dead series has now crossed 106 million sales, proving just how powerful the franchise remains — even without a current-gen upgrade.
Former Rockstar writer Dan Houser said he’d feel “sad” if Red Dead 3 happened without him, though he admits it “probably will one day.” Actor Roger Clark (Arthur Morgan) also believes another Red Dead story will come eventually — just don’t expect Arthur’s return.

It’s been seven years, yet fans still call Red Dead 2 a masterpiece — and the numbers agree.

Rockstar Games has officially delayed Grand Theft Auto VI once more, moving its release to November 19, 2026. The announcement came during Take-Two’s latest financial report, with the publisher saying the team needs “additional time to finish the game with the polish players expect and deserve.”

This marks the second major delay for the long-awaited title. GTA 6 was first expected in fall 2025, then pushed to May 2026, and now to late 2026. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick says Rockstar is “constantly seeking perfection” and still aims to launch within the same fiscal year.

Despite the setback, GTA Online updates will continue as planned, and GTA V remains unstoppable, having sold over 220 million copies to date. Fans are understandably mixed—some are frustrated, others are happy Rockstar is taking the time to get it right.

The only title ranked lower? Battlefield 2042, which held just 46% positive reviews at the time.

The Resident Evil Requiem Edition Switch 2 Pro Controller is now available for pre-order at Best Buy for $99.99, releasing February 27 2026 alongside the game.

This is the first themed controller for the new Switch 2, priced just $10 more than the standard model.
It keeps the black-gray base but adds a haunting Raccoon City-inspired faceplate, designed like a weathered newspaper front page — with eerie details and the “Resident Evil Requiem” logo front and center.

Costco in the US and UK has quietly removed Xbox consoles, games, and even gift cards from its website and search results. PS5 and Nintendo still appear, but nothing Xbox. No word yet from Microsoft or Costco on why.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag—one of the most loved pirate adventures ever—is reportedly getting a major remake, and it sounds like more than just a visual upgrade. 🏴‍☠️

According to trusted French outlet Jeux Video Magazine, the remake will ditch the modern day sections entirely, replacing them with new Edward Kenway story missions, adding several hours of fresh content.

That’s not all:

The remake is said to play closer to modern RPG-style Assassin’s Creed games, with gear, loot, and deeper combat systems.

The Caribbean map will stay familiar, but islands will feel denser with activities, plus some cut content from the original will return.

You’ll reportedly seamlessly move from ship to land without cutscenes, making naval battles and exploration feel smoother than ever.

Insiders claim Ubisoft is aiming for an early 2026 release, though it could shift to later that year. Many believe an official reveal could come soon, maybe at PlayStation’s next State of Play or The Game Awards this December.

The all-time top-selling PlayStation games in the U.S. have been revealed, and some familiar names dominate the charts. At the very top is Grand Theft Auto 5, earning more money and selling more units than any other game. Close behind are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Minecraft, showing just how popular shooters and sandbox games have become.

Other huge hits include Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and classics like The Last of Us. The list proves that Call of Duty and Rockstar titles are absolute powerhouses, taking 28 out of 40 spots!

Even looking back at PlayStation 1, classics like Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy 7, Crash Bandicoot, and Tekken 3 were some of the best sellers in their time.

With Call of Duty Black Ops 7 coming out this November and GTA 6 releasing next May, it’s exciting to think which games will climb the list next.
