From the endearing story of a plus-size man who loved his friend unconditionally — even without receiving the same love in return — in the music video of December Avenue’s “𝘒𝘶𝘯𝘨 ‘𝘋𝘪 𝘙𝘪𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘬𝘢𝘸” six years ago, to the heartwarming tale of a father-and-daughter miracle that reminded us of a love that never gives up in “𝘚𝘢𝘬𝘴𝘪 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘵” (also from December Avenue) in 2023, 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮 has redefined music video production. With each project, they transform songs into cinematic narratives that resonate deeply, touching the hearts of millions.
It’s a small team with a colorful vision and big dreams. 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮, as director Andrei Antonio fondly recalled in a recent post, came from humble beginnings. I even remember when we used to refer to them simply as “The Antonio Brothers,” back when the name 8th Street Cinema had yet to make waves. But through hard work, passion, and consistently high-quality output, they’ve carved out their own space in an industry often dominated by large-scale production houses.
Their senior producer, Angela Suarez — whom I dearly consider a good friend — bravely left her job at a major media company to fully dive into the world of independent production. She joined 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮, which at the time was led by the ever-reliable “Antonios” (Andrei Antonio and Mark Antonio) alongside Karl Montenegro.
“𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘪𝘺𝘢, 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘰 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘵,” she once told me — a simple yet powerful reflection of her journey. Today, 8th Street Cinema has not only grown in number by opening more opportunities to other creatives, but has also reached new heights through dream collaborations and notable projects that continue to raise the bar.
To this day, 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮 continues to do what they’ve quietly mastered: putting heart into every project they produce. From emotionally charged narratives to creative, resourceful solutions for their partners, they prove time and again that passion and purpose can thrive beyond the mainstream.
