🌿 Sincerity and Significance of Intentions and All Actions, Apparent and Hidden

📖 Hadith No. 1

Narrated ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) reported:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

> “The deeds are considered by the intentions, and a person will get the reward according to his intention. So whoever emigrated for Allah and His Messenger, his emigration will be for Allah and His Messenger; and whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration would be for what he emigrated for.”
(Al-Bukhari & Muslim)

💡 Commentary and Points of Benefit

1️⃣ Foundation of Actions:
Every deed is judged by its intention — reward or punishment depends on what the heart seeks.

2️⃣ Sincerity (Ikhlāṣ) is Essential:
No act is accepted by Allah unless it is done sincerely for His sake alone.

3️⃣ Intention Resides in the Heart:
Niyyah is internal, not spoken; verbalizing it is an innovation with no basis in Sunnah.

4️⃣ Warning Against Worldly Motives:
A deed outwardly good loses its value if done for fame, gain, or human approval.

5️⃣ A Universal Principle:
This hadith governs all aspects of a believer’s life — worship, dealings, and daily acts — reminding us to purify our intentions before every action.
