The USPS has released five new stamps honoring Chicano culture through the "low and slow" artform of the classic lowrider. Originating in the American southwest in the postwar period, lowriders were a hallmark of Mexican-American youth culture and in opposition to the United States' "hot rod" obsession at the time. Despite the California Vehicle Code prohibiting the practice in 1958, lowriders and their drivers persevered, adopting ingenious hydraulic systems to keep cruising. After years of protest against what many saw as a law discriminating against Chicanos and the broader Latino community, California officially reinstated the right to lowride in 2023.

Phoenix & Tucson, Az, Hollister, the 105th anniversary Harley-Davidson Party in Milwaukee, to events throughout Souther Califaztlan Y mas.

Celebrate with us as we come up to our 20th anniversary starting November 28, 2026.

Rest in Paz to all those who blessed ys with their prescrnce & are now watching over us.
