Our honeymoon took us to a lot of pretty cool places - one of which was Berlin! 🇩🇪🍺

Thinking of booking a trip soon? Here are some of my tips for travelling on a budget! 💵

• Take a carry on, don’t check a suitcase! This saves money, time, and the risk of losing your luggage.

• Plan your days around free events and activities. Choose a couple paid things to do each day to keep costs down!

• Purchase snacks and breakfast foods at local grocery stores to cut down on eating out.

• Walk or take public transportation when you can. Taxis and Ubers really add up over time! 🚕

Last night my friends picked me up, took me to a beautiful hotel and surprised me with balloons, drinks, snacks, and dinner on the Halifax waterfront! 🥲💗 It was such a perfect way to celebrate my engagement and I’m so thankful to have such great people in my life! 💍 ⁣

Spoiler alert: the night ended with a gravy filled poutine so needless to say, it was a good time 😏

This is the face of a girl who is officially DEBT FREE!! 🎉😍 (New YouTube video is live on my channel if you want to hear the backstory! Link in bio) ⁣

A lot of you guys probably know that I’ve been documenting my debt free journey on my YouTube channel since last July. One day I woke up and said “I want to be able to choose where my money goes each month.” I didn’t want to feel like I owed anyone anything. ⁣🤷‍♀️

Since that day I made a promise to myself that I would work my hardest to pay off my student loan and car loan. ⁣
⁣
And after a year.. I’M DEBT FREE!! 🎉😭⁣
⁣
The plan is to buy a house one day and of course have a mortgage, but there will be no more car loans, student loans, or any other type of debt. Here’s to taking control of your finances! 🥂🥂

Aaron and I had a little date on Sunday at the public gardens in Halifax ☺️🌸 ⁣

I love walking around the gardens so much. It kind of makes me feel like I’m in a story book (Alice in Wonderland specifically which has always been my favourite story/movie 🍄🐇🎩) ⁣

Really enjoyed the little things this weekend. Iced coffee, pretty flowers, sunshine and my fiancé! Life is good! 🥰

My favourite tip from the video is to scrape out your product bottles/containers to get as much use out of your makeup and personal care products as possible ✔️ (I use a little brush to scoop out the extra product) ⁣

One of the best tips I have for you if you need a little extra money to get ahead in your saving or to pay off some debt is to sell some things you don’t use anymore! ✔️⁣

I bet you can thing of at least three things you own that you haven’t touched in 4-6 months. Instead of letting it sit there and clutter your space, turn it into cash by selling it to someone who will appreciate it! 💵⁣
