ST. SCHO | September 17, 2025 — The Scieartech Movement hosted its own version of the Amazing Race, called The Sci-mazing Race.

In this event, students from grades 7 to 12 demonstrated teamwork and time management as they raced around the HS campus, solving scientific puzzles at different stations. With science teachers and grade 10 members of the Scieartech club overseeing each station, misconduct and dishonesty were prevented. The program ran from 10:40 a.m. to 11:40 a.m., with each team competing to complete as many stations as possible before the time ended.

Through this program, students expressed their quick thinking skills and willingness to cooperate as a group, further sparking their scientific curiosity.

METRO MANILA | September 12, 2025 — In their educational trip, the Grade 9 students were given the opportunity to further enrich their learning by visiting Intramuros and Quezon City, particularly the Manila Cathedral, the National Museum, and the Philippine Educational Theater Education (PETA).

They were able to analyze and appreciate the aspects of Filipino culture, especially during the theatre play which highlighted the war between the Spaniards and Filipinos, which showed the determination the Katipuneros fought with. The trip would also serve the purpose of becoming inspirations for the 9th grader's upcoming performance tasks.

ST. SCHO | September 11, 2025 — A Press Conference with the Concerned Citizens of Pampanga (CCP) and St. Scholastica’s Academy Pampanga’s directress, Sr. Mary John Mananzan, OSB, was convened to raise public awareness about the government’s ghost project. With Mark Sison as the moderator, a discussion took place among the members present, who represented various sectors and different civic groups in the Philippines.
• Sr. Mary John Mananzan, OSB - Directress of St. Scholastica’s Academy Pampanga
• Francisco “Eco” Dangla III - Spokesperson of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan
• JC Alcaraz - Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon
• John Clifford Piñera - Provincial Coordinator of National Union of Students of the Philippines - Pampanga (NUSP)
• Atty. Ananias “Jun” Canlas - Former Provincial Board Member in Pampanga
• Averell Laquindanum - Co-Convenor, Concerned Citizens of Pampanga
• Alex Cauguiran - Lead Convenor, Concerned Citizens of Pampanga

Another purpose of this press conference was to gather support for the upcoming People’s Rally Against Corruption, which will take place at the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando, Pampanga, at 2:00 p.m. on the 18th of September. The rally’s main goal is to unite Filipinos in urging government officials to acknowledge their unethical practices, particularly in deceiving the public into believing that all taxes collected are being used for authenticated projects, such as the flood control.

Everyone attending is invited to wear a red and black ribbon, where the black part symbolizes “pagluluksa” (mourning), while the red part symbolizes Filipinos’ courage—that they will not stop until justice is served and government officials are held accountable.

Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy stands as one of the greatest literary works of the medieval world—a trilogy mapping the soul’s journey through Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso.

This sonnet serves as a rendition of that pilgrimage: the first quatrain descends into the torments of Hell, the second rises through the trials of Purgatory, and the final verse beholds the radiance of Paradise. It offers a meditation on sin, penance, and the promise of divine grace.

In reimagining Dante’s vision, the sonnet reflects not only the architecture of the afterlife but also the timeless struggle of the human spirit—forever caught between despair and hope, yet longing for redemption in the light of the divine.

ST. SCHO | September 9, 2025 — “Masabal,” a Kapampangan word meaning “nababahala” or, in English, concerned.

Fr. Justin G. Gatus led the SIP Activity of 7th graders at the Amrhein Hall. With his words of inspiration, the students gained a deeper understanding of what the essence of stewardship truly is as he explained how this value means taking care of something with responsibility and integrity. Through the three pillars of “masabal,” namely gratitude, generosity, and giving back, we must appreciate The Story of Creation to honor God for his works and mercy toward us.

After the talk, the Grade 7 students reflected on and evaluated the insightful message of Fr. Gatus.

ST. SCHO | September 8, 2025 — Ibie mu ing kekang lunus, panalangin mu ke king Dios!

On this blessed day, the Solemnity and 69th Anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of Virgen De Los Remedios was held at the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando, Pampanga. Representing the school were Ms. Combate of The Magnificat, Ms. Tumolak of Pax Benedictina, Mr. Joel Santos, and the respective club officers. Alongside SSA-CSFP, several institutions such as the University of the Assumption, Don Bosco Academy, St. Lucy School of the Archdiocese of Pampanga Inc., Don Honorio Ventura State University, and St. Mary's were able to take part in the devotion.

The celebration commenced with the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, followed by a vibrant parade of flags. At 3:00 P.M., a Holy Mass, led by Archbishop Florentino Lavarias, was opened. Alongside him were several priests, deacons, and altar servers from various parishes.

After the Ginu Pacalulu, the procession began from the Metropolitan Cathedral to the Pampanga Capitol, wherein the images of Jesus Christ and Virgen de los Remedios were carried and honored. The celebration concluded with the continuation of the Holy Eucharist and Coronation proper.

As we honor this sacred tradition during the Month of Peace, may we allow the light of the Virgen de los Remedios to shine in our hearts, guiding us in times of hardship and inspiring our faith to light our spiritual paths.

ST. SCHO | September 8, 2025 marks the 69th Canonical Coronation Anniversary of Virgen de los Remedios, or the Virgin of Remedies. To celebrate the feast of her Nativity, St. Scholastica's Academy, Pampanga, held a holy Mass. Despite the implementation of asynchronous modality, students were able to partake in the worship via Facebook live.

Virgen de los Remedios is known as Pampanga's patroness. Her title was introduced by Bishop César María Guerrero in 1952. A few years later, Pope Pius XII granted her a Canonical Coronation. She is lovingly regarded as a motherly figure who brings forth remedies. As we continue to seek her guidance, may she embrace us with her motherly care and protection.

ST. SCHO | September 4–5, 2025 — A display of quick wits and conviction filled the HS AVR as students vied for a spot in SSA's new debate team held on September 4 and 5. The two-day screening was allotted for phase one of their selection process, wherein applicants were given a minute to successfully deliver an impromptu speech from a list of relevant topics ranging from disinformation, ghost projects, and nepotism. They were evaluated based on their speech's content, voice modulation, and their time management in presenting their arguments. The candidates were assessed by a number of esteemed panelists, namely: Ms. Ma. Loreta Madelo, Mr. Harold Velasco, Ms. Ginarey Guion, Ms. Alec Arceo, and Mrs. Pauline Manalo.

The students went through a rigorous application process, as they were only given a single pass and a 20-second pause to organize their thoughts. From there, the pool of original applicants would be cut in half. Fortunately, Mr. Velasco generously provided tips and offered individual feedback to motivate the candidates and keep them sharp throughout the screening. This event truly captured the essence of the motto "veni, vidi, convinci"—Scholasticans came, saw, and conquered the stage through their masterful oratory skills.
