ST. SCHO | December 17, 2025 — Early in the morning, Scholasticans came together at St. Cecilia’s Covered Court for the Dawn Mass. To open the celebration, 10 – St. Elfreda performed a hand theatre to the song “O Holy Night,” bringing light to significant moments of Christ’s birth.

Following this, the school directress, Sr. Mary John Mananzan, OSB, spoke about the importance of silence, emphasizing how it allows us to listen to God. She also mentioned that Christmas is a time for us to practice good deeds to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.

During the homily, Scholasticans were taught that even broken lives can be touched by God, as no one is ever too broken to restore. They were reminded that God comes not for the perfect but for the lost, broken, and flawed.

A short program then commenced wherein the maintenance personnel were given recognition for their service with words of gratitude and gifts from the students. After, SC P.R.O. Nean Cortez and SC Treasurer Jaden Lopena from the SCO announced the STARS awardees for the second quarter. The recipients of the award are as follows:
7 –Ruth
8 – St. Bernadette
9 – Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
10 – St. Elfreda
11 – Fortitude
12 – Humility
12 – Service

After the program, students went to their respective classrooms to enjoy their Christmas bonding. With activities unfolded and gifts exchanged, hearty laughter resounded and warm smiles shone through, capturing the authentic spirit of joy and love this Christmas season.

ST. SCHO | December 15, 2025 — As December’s cold breeze filled the campus, Scholasticans gathered at St. Cecilia’s Covered Court for the school’s final general assembly of the year.

Beanna Penecilla, the SC Secretary, led the relaunch of “The Scholastican H.E.R.O,” an initiative that aims to foster leadership, responsibility, social awareness, and humility. This also recognizes those who are consistent with Benedictine principles, especially Christ-centeredness, service, and respect, while encouraging students to become agents of peace and justice.

Following this, roaring cheers and applause roused the court as Mr. Christian David facilitated the awarding of athletes in light of the recently held 2025 City Schools Division Athletic Association Meet (CSDAAM).

The program then continued with a reflective segment featuring the high school principal, Ms. Julieta Tayag, as she delivered a Christmas message wherein she emphasized basking in joy and love this season amid the challenges faced throughout the year. She also reminded the students of the value of gratitude and how it makes even the simplest of things grand and meaningful. Concluding her speech, she left the students a reminder to always choose to do and be good with the words “Piliin ang tama, tama ang piliin.”

Additionally, she welcomed the faculty members on stage for a caroling performance, highlighting how music not only brings joy to others but also fosters a sense of togetherness within the community. As the faculty members’ voices filled the court, the warm glow of the lights illuminated their performance, adding to the festive atmosphere. Students watched them in awe as they performed “Kalam Ning Pasku” and “Tuloy na Tuloy Pa Rin ang Pasko.”

To conclude the year’s final general assembly, the faculty members led an Advent blessing for the students, praying for guidance in their lives as they continue to hope and serve.

ST. SCHO | December 3, 2025 — The student athletes of the Scholastican community actively participated in the “Operation Joy Sports” held at St. Cecilia’s Covered Court and Sister Margarita Alovera Covered Court, which aimed to bring joy to the kids through learning and playing different sports. As Mr. Christian David and Mr. Marlon Cuevas organized this event, the sports club moderators—Mr. Matthew Luison, Mr. Lauro Sunga, Mr. Miguel Santos, and Ms. Trixie Mercado—spearheaded the activities that revolved around thrilling yet meaningful passion of the dedicated children.

This event did not only spark delightfulness, as it introduced a unique way of meeting the desires of children in our community. Moreover, the engagement of student athletes fostered a new aspect of sportsmanship, teamwork, and skills that could only be acquired through the smiles they witnessed as they taught the basics.

Hence, the skills of athletic students have always helped them conquer in different competitions—but most importantly, it led them to demonstrate their earnest dedication, which continues to inspire those who value perseverance.

QUEZON CITY | December 6, 2025 — Participants from the Scieartech Club Movement and Earthsavers attended the “TARA TENA! The 2030 Takeover SDG Bayanihan Summit 2025” that took place at the 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines, Inc. (YPFH). There, they discovered new insights about the significance of maintaining sustainability and actively advocating for change through panel discussions facilitated by youth leaders, government officials, and organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The purpose of this summit was to educate and encourage younger generations to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Philippines.

For both clubs, this summit is important and beneficial as they can utilize their new insights into scientific approaches to social and civic challenges by implementing more community-based projects, benefitting not only the clubs but also the students of the school, in general.

The summit also provided innovative ideas for integrating storytelling and digital advocacy into club initiatives, making future projects more engaging and effective.

As the 18-day “End Violence Against Women and Children” (VAWC) campaign comes to an end, we engrave on our hearts the acronym “RIGHTS.” To reclaim what women are due means to be revolutionary, independent, graceful, humanitarian, talented, and spirited amidst the looming shadows of violence and injustice.

HAU, Pampanga | December 3, 2025 — Lakbay-Kamalayan at Lingap-Kapwa brought students of Kamalayang Kapampangan and Kamalayang Pilipino on a meaningful journey through Kapampangan history and heritage at Holy Angel University.

Through museum visits and guided storytelling, participants deepened their understanding of the culture, artistry, and legacy that shaped Pampanga’s identity.

Beyond learning, the activity extended to service at the Bale-Balayan Museum for the Poor, where students connected with the children of Anak Bale-Balayan.

Laughter, shared performances, and simple gestures of generosity transformed the outreach into a heartfelt exchange rooted in pakikipagkapwa-tao.

More than an exposure trip, the event embodied the club’s mission in action—preserving culture while serving the community. It reminded participants that heritage is not only remembered in museums but lived, shared, and passed on through compassion and unity.

ST. SCHO | December 10, 2025 — A time for giving and sharing was fostered within the walls of the Benedictine institution on this year's operation joy. Once again, St. Scholastica's Academy - Pampanga welcomed children from San Agustin Integrated School and Anak Bale-Balayan as they graced the campus with their presence.

The opening program was held at St. Cecilia's Covered Court, where a captivating performance of Anak Bale-Balayan set the event in motion. Sharp rhythms and evocative chants resonated throughout the court as they showcased their talents.

Building on this energy, members from the club, Kamalayang Kapampangan, exhibited a wonderful dance performance, painting the stage with expressive movement.

As the opening program ended, the children were invited to different classrooms. They engaged in the programs that each class prepared for them, enjoying various games and activities.

“𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒏 𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂!”

Today marks the 454th year of Aldo Ning Kapampangan, also known as Pampanga Day, yet many of us remain unaware of the reasons behind its celebration.

Every December 11th, we honor the founding of Pampanga in 1571, making it the oldest province in Central Luzon. Its rich history and influence are evident from the Spanish colonial era up to the present day.

This day is more than just a holiday; it serves as a reminder for us Kapampangans to take pride in our heritage. It features the remarkable growth and transformation this place has undergone since its official recognition as a province.
